Great return visit to a gorgeous area. Amazing views all around. Steep for beginners. Make sure to climb up to the bench near the top for a fantastic view.

Be aware if you are a Forest Pass Holder, those passes will eventually not be honored here. Mountain High is taking over maintenance here and have introduced a new parking pass.

Supposedly old Forest Passes that were already purchased will be honored but there's no other information that I've been able to find online as of June 2024.

This was a great hike! when its warm its rough!!! the distance isnt bad but the constant grade is tiring. Beautiful views and over all great hike/experience!

Beautiful place to relax and enjoy the Mountains.
Very peaceful and quite...we even got to see some deer.

This place is dangerous and very limited on safety! People are everywhere and the sledding can turned into a hazard. I cannot recommend this place, too small and dangerous for kids and adults. The police will tow your car if parked on red or no stopping area's. Only thing worth doing here is taking pictures, anything else do your self a favor and go to big bear!

Perfect overlook viewing area. Location of Lightning Ridge Trail, Pacific Crest Trail, entrance for Guffy and Blue Ridge Campgrounds. Parking/camping fees may apply. Bring small bills for parking pass or buy adventure pass in Wrightwood. Snow play may require parking pass.

This is a great place to stop along the Angeles Crest Highway in the San Gabriel Mountains. The views of Mount San Antonio, the southern California basin, and the sea on a clear day on one side, and the high desert on the other are tremendous. There are public restrooms and ample parking. Some hiking trails also are available.

A beautiful and well cared for trailhead situated where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses the 2 highway. Bring your Adventure Pass to park here. There are a lot of areas accessible to hike from this location.

From this point on a clear day; one can see all the way out to Catalina Island. On a winter day the snowy landscape is equally dramatic.
