Recently stayed at the Inn for a family event. The Inn was so cute! Loved how they decorated the main areas. My room was very spacious and cozy. It was winter time so having the fireplace lit at night was an extra bonus. The staff was amazing and accommodating!! I will definitely plan another stay there in the future!!

We had a great stay at this property. After being greeted with a most beautiful smile by the manager, we were offered a great wine and cheese "happy hour" in the cosy downstairs foyer. Room was ample and spotless. Breakfast was very good, albeit a bit cramped (a few guests did not have a table to sit). Oh, and the location and the view of the harbor are fantastic

The morning breakfast, afternoon wine & cheese, and the evening cookies were delicious. Walkabilty is great—there are lots restaurants nearby. I highly recommend staying here.

We stayed with friends at the Inn and absolutely loved our stay! The breakfast was delicious (especially the french toast) and the wine and cheese and night time cookies were a great touch. The peach tea was also great! The staff were so friendly and helpful, and Captain Nick and the pontoon boat was a huge highlight of the stay for us. The rooms were spacious and beds extremely comfortable. The property was beautiful, extremely well kept and the view was amazing. Be sure to utilize the free beach passes, towels, and chairs. You will love sleepy niantic nights!

My wife, three year old daughter, and I spent a week here while staying in the area to visit family. The Inn at Harbor Hill Marina is an immaculate establishment right on the marina with a nice view of the Niantic River, beautiful landscaping, and is a short walk to Niantic's Main Street that has several nice shops, restaurants, and the Hole in the Wall Beach and boardwalk. There's a lot to do nearby which helps make it a great place in a great location!

I will say that I felt a bit out of place here being the only guests with a young child. During our long stay we saw several groups of guests come and go, primarily older couples, and it wasn't until a couple days in that I realized that we had the only room with a second bed which would explain the limited availability for a family. Having the only kid there, we tried to keep our distance to avoid interrupting the other guests enjoying their stay, though we were out and about most of the day.

There are a few positives and negatives about our experience, though I feel like the positives outweigh the negatives since some of them may be exclusive to our situation.

Positives: The homemade breakfast was excellent, and though the menu is fairly limited, it has enough options to give it some variety even for a week-long stay. We had nice fall weather during our September stay, and it was wonderful sipping coffee and eating breakfast outside overlooking the marina while giving our daughter a place to run around. Additionally, getting service to clean the linens was easily done by calling or speaking to whoever was in the main office, so no need to worry about anyone coming to your room at a random time of day without first requesting it. The sound proofing of the room was quite good, for instance, the sound from the nearby Amtrak was faint, and I never heard anything from the adjacent rooms. Granted, we were the ones with a young child, so I don't know how our experience relates to the other guest rooms, but no one complained to my knowledge.

Negatives: Specific to our room, the second bed made the room very cramped. For two adults and a toddler for a week long stay, we didn't pack lightly, so this shouldn't be an issue for those who stay in any other room. Additionally, the window AC was quite loud even on the lowest setting (fortunately it never woke our daughter at night), and the bed my wife and I slept on was quite uncomfortable. The second, smaller bed that our daughter slept on was much more comfortable. The lack of a refrigerator in the room was very inconvenient, especially when you have a kid, so we didn't have immediate access to cool drinks or a place to store perishable items at night aside from a public mini-fridge on the first floor which was a no-go for us.

One item of concern was when checking in, I was asked my daughter's age and was informed of, if I recall, a $25/night fee for kids over three years old. While this didn't affect us since our daughter was only three, I double checked my reservation, went through the motions of setting up a new similar reservation online, and even did some web searching and could not find any mention of a fee for children over three. If I'm misremembering this, I apologize, but keep it in mind and consider verifying if you're looking to stay here with a child, because what came off like a hidden child-tax did not give me a good first impression.

Unfortunately, my wife and I didn't get to enjoy much the evening wine amenity since we were out all day seeing the sites and visiting family while using the Inn only for breakfast and sleeping at night, but we did get to indulge on the homemade cookies when we got back as a small treat. There was no mention of a complimentary boat ride, though I didn't inquire further on it since I didn't expect to be around whenever they did them, if at all.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would certainly do it again, though I would probably try to seek a place a bit more "family friendly"/kid appropriate to avoid potentially interrupting other guest's quiet getaway.

I took my wife here for a couple nights around her birthday. Processing the reservation was easy, and upon arrival were were greeted warmly and given a small tour and outline of things.||Our room was in the Captain Clark house, and was clean, quiet and comfortable.||Over our 2 night stay we experienced warm & friendly staff, great service, and amenities that went above and beyond. Each day, there was a wine & cheese sampling in the afternoons, a good breakfast selection with tasty home-cooked food, and just amazingly-delicious cookies in the evening. And they even had a small pontoon boat docked at the marina and would give small rides in the bay for free.||The room was very comfortable, and everything worked perfectly (water, A/C, etc.). Plenty of parking, easy access to the main street by the water...||It was a wonderful experience for us both, especially my wife who loves to be by the water.

What a gem! This inn is so nicely updated and perfect for a couples getaway. We stayed in the Captain Clark house which doesn’t have views (we knew, we booked too late to get the main inn) but the room was perfect. Spacious, beautiful decor, cozy bed, clean, nice bathroom. It felt like we had the whole house to ourselves for most of the time. The breakfast was also stellar. We did room service twice and one morning ate outside by the marina, food was great! |We had a wonderful weekend and loved this visit!

What a wonderful experience! My husband and I love taking weekend gateway to different places. I came across the Inn and couldn't have been happier. The bed and breakfast atmosphere was just what we needed for our Valentines Weekend away. The staff was friendly, breakfast was delicious the view while having coffee was breath taking and relaxing. The menu was just enough. The room was our favorite, the decor, the layout, the cozy feeling we felt while staying there. By far one of the most quiet places at night. THIS was exactly what we wanted to recharge and relax! The inn provided cheese and wine in the evenings and cookies! YUMM, coffee bars set up in both buildings. It was perfect for us. We will be back we enjoyed our stay so much! Thank you to the staff for making it even more memorable.
