Pretty pathetic establishment. Had a client go inpatient. He got medically sick and had to be taken to the hospital across the street. Independence Hall, instead of holding his bed, gave his bed up and resulting in him having no where to go. Totally unaccountable for their actions as well and will not return phone calls. If you are coming here for recovery, you are going to leave wanting to get high again. Do not recommend.

That place is a beautiful setting with 80% all the wrong staff members in the hands of recovering alcoholics and atticts so yeah it looks bad as a whole. Only this one thing that kept me still in that place was my God cause he never failed me and NEVER WILL. Only good energy in that place that made my recovery somewhat tenacious was that "love" button lol the arts in crafts which ONLY me and you'd particapate in your choose to make let it sink in, salad bar was ok, and the fact no matter how much Hippa is violated and me feeling humiliated by staff and clients is sad and plus nothing being done about it is why im writing this is cause come on now EVERYONE'S "M-I-R-A-C-L-E" S MATTERS. Remember make sure your on time use I statements respect anonymous confidentiality language for recovery and everyone participates IT should apply to everyone like you said unfortunately I didn't witness. So Jeff i Thank you for not talking to my addiction and willing to help me WITH A SMILE everyday because without that greeting and working with nothing but understanding and patience has made me leave on good terms.Gayle Oh me and you know that your professionalism is pretty straight at the gate until that spaghetti gets wet girl you dont look good I am just being honest . Every encounter is demeaning and messy and nothing to trust at that level of care not for ANYONE. So to whom it may conern i will highly recommend you to tell her not to talk to any recoverying addict about a paragraph out the big book "The delusion that we are like
other people, or presently may be, has to be smashed" seriously until hers is. She had the right one to persuade that day (showed me her cute puppy pictureon her cellphone) to do a bio psych social but let me make clear ALL the wrong attitudes in passing while my stay there so first Gayle treat others how you want to be treated, get rid of those blue glasses, and close your desk for privacy to HIPPA cause it's giving your there for the paycheck and not the mission of your position. So thanks honestly to my Counselor Laurie for you being authentic at that split moment because for sure it hit me "like a can of bricks" that affirmation " She remembered who she was and THE GAME CHANGED" like you got a friend in me for that so kudos for that. Save the best for last Kurt even though I had no referrals in your support for my plans for my recovery is #1 and I know for any addict and myself that is therapeutic man so I appreciate it the music therapy and real to the point bible studies like dude you rock socks.

Would love to give this place a higher rating, however after 5 phone calls and 2 emails asking to just verify that my loved one received his things I dropped off, I have yet to hear anything. Very unprofessional and makes me wonder if they kept things from him.

The dining hall (Pegs Kitchen) has unbelievable great food choices. Every person that's a residential client on the CSS side has their own room. The lobby area is a amazing relaxing atmosphere where you feel welcomed by just being there. With the Zen Garden out front I recommend spending time when given opportunity to. Kristin and Candace were my clinical team and they both go above and beyond for all my needs to be met.

I cannot say enough about this facility. The moment you walk in the door the staff makes u feel so welcome, which is exactly what most of us need at that vulnerable time. From the director all the way down the line they really make you feel like you matter.I have been to a million programs, this is the only one that I missed after I left! To anyone thinking about going into treatment I would strongly recommend Independence Hall.

The place is incredible in terms of comfort. And there is a general sense of ease that comes off the staff. But there is little professional help. Forms are filled out for billing purposes on an initial visit, and any follow up treatment is little. Employee's constantly complain of under-staffing, using the excuse to explain missed groups and missing clinicians. Great place to get away from things and do some self reflection (or for probation). But clinical and aftercare service are bottom of the barrel.
