I had never had any problems really until they started their new system of outsourcing to other agencies to get stuff processed. Ever since then, they keep losing my paperwork and closing my case, blaming me as the fault and forcing me to bring proof that I actually talked to who I said I did and everything. Twice they lost my stuff resulting in my case being closed for 3 months each time and when I provided proof that it was because of THEM, they never own up or back-pay anything. And majority of the staff obviously hates their jobs and it shows painfully with the amount of disrespect and the fact that I can literally call and watch them sit there with it ringing for 20 minutes without budging to answer (technically 19minutes and 47seconds before they finally leaned over to answer)

This is the first DHS office that was not stuffy, noisy, and crowded, I was in and out in less than 5 mins, the ladies at the window were very nice and non judgemental.

I worked third shift so I called to talk to someone about my kids insurance so I’m calling I’m calling and I’m calling and I’m like there’s no way they are that busy. It’s not like we live in a big city so I go up there as I’m calling and I see all three women sitting up at the front not doing anything and nobody’s even in the office And come to find out the telephone number that they have is not a direct number to the company And they tell you 1000 different things before they actually get to what you’re looking for which I don’t understand. It’s sad

They have the absolute worst communication. Every time you finally get someone to answer the phone they tell you something different each time.

I have never visited this office but I wanted to take the time to brag on and thank Brandy. I submitted an application through the website for Medicaid for my children back on July 5th. We live in Faulkner county. While online it says it's been processed I hadn't received anything in the mail. I've called weekly checking on it's status only to be routed to different call centers & told that my case hadn't yet been processed. On two occassions I'd been told that my case would be escalated to a supervisor. I made my weekly call today and got routed to Brandy. I explained to her each week what I'd been told by various people. She informed me that these conversations hadn't been documented. She explained the proper procedure and process for it all and that it appeared I'd submitted all required documentation to get it processed. She was extremely patient and even made time to document the things that I told her today while I was still on the phone. She asked for my number and told me she'd check that application and let me know if it had been processed. That was at 11:25 am today. At 1:36 pm, I received a voicemail from someone else letting me know that my kid's applications had been processed and approved. I'm almost certain it was her doing. I've waited 3 months for something that she was able to get moving in a day. Thank you Brandy.

I’ve submitted “additional documents” about 2-3 times already to be told I need to submit more documents. This is now 5months since I’ve applied for SNAP and I have not received ANY help. There was one or two women that actually HELPED me when I needed it just for another to tell me I need more information. This is so ridiculous me and my kids need help with food and I am a college student. I’m very disappointed in our system and the employees.(majority of them)

I keep getting different responses from when I turned in all my documentation from pay stubs bank statements written statements and all. My EBT stuff was supposed to be straightened before July 5th I thought. I had assumed I turned everything in my june 15. However in reality I turned my last stuff in on June 9. The things I turned in on the 15 went to the wrong place. So I started calling at the end of June to see if they received my things and first they said yes everything is in just had to scan. Then I re called a week later I get told not everything is when. So I resent it to the right website. Then I get told by this Friday to call because it should only be 10 days once someone scanned something. Then I call again to day because I go to get my suicide meds that help me not be suicidal depression meds only to find out my insurance is off. So I call them to get told it's not off that it's only pending. And the lady today was super rude and said whoever told me to call on Friday isn't supposed to give a time because it's not gaurteened. I'm livid I've been having to use what little to get the small amount of food we get and then my mom had to use her credit for my meds today

People were very helpful and quick on resolving the issues. The case workers (even the front office ladies) have always been willing to help and accommodate our needs. Some of the case workers (who shall remain anonymous, but you KNOW who you are) has always been very kind and compassionate. She went way above and beyond to help out family, which is a blessing. I just wish there were more out there like you!!!!
