Our visit to Hugh Taylor Birch State Park was truly amazing and filled with memorable experiences. We boarded the Bayview Water Taxis at Stop 7 and enjoyed a scenic ride to Stop 8, where the park welcomed us for a fun-filled family picnic. The park’s natural beauty and variety of attractions made it a day to remember.

The children loved exploring the park, especially the reptile exhibit, which was both educational and entertaining. As we wandered, we spotted some friendly raccoons nearby, adding a touch of wildlife to our adventure. The walking trails were a highlight, offering a serene escape through nature and leading us to the beach, which brought even more excitement.

Tucked away along the trails, we discovered The Grove, a delightful spot where we could eat, drink, and play. It was the perfect place to relax and refuel before continuing our exploration. The combination of lush greenery, family activities, and a serene beach atmosphere made the experience truly special.

This place is gorgeous! It has a meditation labyrinth, beautiful water canal where you can watch the sunset, beautiful trails that look like magical green tunnels of trees, great for picnics, barbecue, romantic walks, he has also a beautiful café on the side of the beach, there is an entrance from the beach side, which is free, and if you come in through the main entrance walking, it cost two dollars per person, five dollars per car. Totally worth it whether is for half an hour or hours.

Can’t say enough good things about this place. It is tranquil. It was diverse and what you could do. It was well set up. You can just walk right into nature. You can sit along the intercoastal. It had plenty of benches and picnic tables inbarbecues and Banyan trees. I will definitely come back here loved it.

Having a state park next to a beach is rare and a welcome treat in the middle of an urban area. Birch park offers excellent accommodations to walk their trails, bicycling, camping and beach going. A real gem in Fort Lauderdale.

A large state park between the ocean and the inter coastal waterway. Several parking areas, picnic areas, and playgrounds. Gopher tortoise live here too. An amazing Banyan tree is in the park. There is access to the beach across A1A but the underground walkway was closed so you have to cross the road to get to the ocean. You can rent kayaks, canoe and bikes here too. There are hiking paths throughout the park

Small park with direct access to Fort Lauderdale Beach. Canoe, paddle board, kayak and bike rentals. Trail through wooded area and a loop road with intercoastal views as well as a water taxi pickup and drop off area.

I recently spent a fantastic day exploring Hugh Taylor Birch State Park with my friend and dog, and it was such a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of Fort Lauderdale. The park's lush greenery and scenic trails made for a peaceful and enjoyable walk, and my dog loved having the open space to explore. After a bit of hiking, we relaxed by the water, soaking in the tranquil surroundings.

The highlight of the day was stumbling upon the live music at The Grove, which happens every weekend. It was such a vibe—great tunes, good company, and a perfect way to wrap up our outdoor adventure. Taylor Birch State Park is a gem for nature lovers, and the live music adds a fun, laid-back touch! Definitely planning another visit soon.
