This location is absolutely horrible. There should be a disclaimer that this hotel is a subsidized homeless center / refuge before booking. The maintenance and upkeep of this hotel is also horrible. There is a difference between needing renovations and not keeping up with general maintenance. The bathroom was horrible kept, scratched wall paper that was peeling off, mold on the ceiling, rust in the shower tub floor, rust on the lighting fixtures, and cigarette burns on the bed comforter. Even outside the room there in the hallways, they’re are crumbs all over the floor. Would never stay here — this is the first hotel I flipped my mattress to check for bed bugs. This place is actually disgusting and absolutely doesn’t meet the quality standard of the Holiday Inn brand.

We booked our stay back in July for this weekend and when we arrived it was a dump. The hallways were covered in filth. Our room looked destroyed, the tv was hanging off the mount, the fire alarm was hanging off the wall. The walls in the bathroom were covered with white filth, with mold in the shower caulking. The bedskirts had stains on them. The pillows had makeup stains and hair on them and in them. The furniture was damaged. Do not waste your money here. We were there a total of two hours until we couldn’t stand the disarray. We packed our things and brought it to the car and went to the front desk to tell them we are unpleased and will not be staying the night. The front desk worker said we had been here for longer than 4 hours which is our allowed time for a refund. When he checked again and realized we had not actually been there for 4 hours, his refund time then changed to 2 hours. He then said we had 15 mins upon entering our room and complaining to get a refund. He said he will not honor a refund nor his manager and we can contact the head manager on Monday. This place is not worth your time. I will continue to write reviews and contact higher branches until this is resolved. Do not waste your money here you will not get what the pictures online show you.

The staff were very friendly and check-in process went smoothly. Rooms are clean but nothing to brag about. They are definitely outdated and mattresses are not comfortable Most importantly, the hotel currently acts as a homeless shelter so expect to see homeless people around the lobby area, in front of the hotel, using all the amenities, and sitting with you at breakfast. Would not recommend staying with kids. (Stayed in July 2023)

Stayed one night, very convenient to U Mass Medical Center. Room was clean, bed comfy...upholstered chairs were a bit frayed but no biggie. Made use of the large work desk and TV in the room. Took us a minute to figure out it also operates as a homeless shelter. Why were so many people wandering the hotel in their PJ's!! The clientele also made breakfast in the way too small 2nd floor breakfast room interesting! Staff is aggressive but in their defense some folks don't understand how to act in a buffet. Left to there own devices, they would take piles of food, grabbing without the use of utensils. I watched one young man take all the bread and all the jelly packets. I get that he likely needed it but if your going to mix homeless folks with folks paying for a hotel, with amenities tensions run high.

After staying at this property, we were wishing there were more Holiday Inn express along the road for the rest of our road trip north. It was just perfect for what we needed. Rooms are huge, linens are soft, the small gym was perfect after sitting for so many hours in the car. Check in staff was very friendly and helpful. This breakfast was definitely a step above other breakfast included style meals. Coffee available in the lobby (I think most of the day). Easier off the expressway. There are several very good restaurants in.Worcester and some chain restaurants nearby the hotel. Hotel is very quiet and it’s just perfect to recharge.

This fine hotel is great if you only have to stay a short period of time. The front desk service is good, but the building suffers from having a good remodeling over very old bones. The hot water was adequate, but to keep it the same temperature, you had to keep adjusting it. As far as the soft goods, both my pillow and the sheets had stains on them. Perhaps the biggest downside was the in-room HVAC. The under window unit only had local control and it was only partially functional. I did appreciate that the parking was plentiful and on-site, as opposed to several of the other local hotels that use garage services. If you're thinking of coming here for a graduation, be sure to book early.

First I'd like to say that the hotel staff were friendly and helpful and seemed to be doing the best they can. But traveller beware - this is not a nice hotel. Ugly, dated, and sketchy decor. My heater did not work (could not turn it off) so at one point it was 75 in the room (in March) the window did not open, the bathroom was yucky, I had a bucket catching water under the sink, it was loud, no soundproofing, so the highway, drunks in the hallway, and even just other room conversations kept me up. The breakfast was not edible. Eggs tasted like chemicals, dry rolls, terrible coffee. Again, the attendant was wonderful, the hotel did not give him anything to work with. I stayed two nights because I had prepaid, and for what this was and offered it was ridiculously overpriced. I would NEVER stay here again and warn against it. Why did I not book the Marriott down the road

The location is good and that's about the only positive thing I can say about this hotel.

My request for fresh linens during our check was denied after the front desk attendant stated, "the hotel was full last night so house keeping changed all the bed sheets.' I've stayed in many hotels including several Holiday Inn Expresses and I have never been denied a request for fresh linens.

The box spring was exposed and old and the sofa chairs are also old with ripped upholstery. Our iron in the room didn't work and had to request for a replacement.

There was water leaking from the ceiling of one of the elevators.

In a nutshell, the hotel needs a facelift because many of the amenities are old and I'm glad we only stayed there for a night.
