Grandparents booked a family vacation to Mexico this year. In January, they rebooked the flights for a lower rate. Now the ticket was non refundable, understandable, so we all got a credit. However the credit was with pleasant vacations. We were told we had to use the credit by a certain date or forfeit the money. Which doesn’t make sense because my understanding is southwest credits don’t expire.

To book our next trip we have to use horizon vacations, can’t just book a trip ourself and use the credit. When I set it up, I was told the credit can only be used for one flight and must be used all at once or it’s lost. I asked can we use the remaining funds as a package for the hotel, was told no. I also was told the only way to book was a package deal, flight and hotel. I then ask can we upgrade our seating to use all the funds. Again was told no, the company they use only flys coach.

So now, someone is making a profit of $120 because of unused funds. Seems strange that I can’t use this remaining funds for anything else or upgrades.

Me and my family have used Shelly for many years. Shelly has allways had our best intrest in traveling. She is by far the best Travel agent outthere. She takes care of her clients to the fullest. Never had a bad experiance with Horizon Travel. We just booked another trip with Shelly.
