It was nice. Volunteered to slice watermelons and work the watermelon seed spiting contest. I was disappointed that there were no watermelon "special" creations in food or beverage. Attendance overall was fare. Where was the costumed festival mascot? The weather was perfect. Parking was a little challenging...I got there about 11:30AM on Saturday. The Hope watermelons are DELICIOUS!!! Crisp and sweet with minimal seeds!

These watermelons taste like watermelons! Sweet sweet watermelon meat with salt on the side. I had never been to a watermelon festival. This was a nice day trip. Friendly folks and watermelon jokes. Might try it again next year.

Exactly what it sounds like a festival for celebrating the best watermelon you will ever eat! It’s Friday-Sunday. There’s booths with arts and crafts activities such as bounce house and petting zoo for children. Plenty of food trucks. On Saturday morning they have special (the nicer) vendors set up inside. There’s also a concert on Saturday night with musical acts such as Tracey Byrd, Uncle Cracker, Tracy Lawerence have been some
Of the past performers. Theres a lot of contest to participate in or watch through at the weekend like seed spitting, watermelon eating, Watermelon Idol, and the Watermelon Pageant. On the baseball and softball fields they have a very big softball tournament that goes all weekend and is a very big deal and one of the bigger tournaments.
