Property manager Luanne is terrible
I’ve been living and paying bills on time only to hear her cursing at me when I call for a repair. Since the day I moved in my kitchen drawer is broken my freezer door is frozen shout cause it’s leaking water and refreezing. My stove won’t boil even a pot of water because the setting on the stove is broken and if you go on medium heat it shuts off.
Now this hurricane weather and I’m flooded inside my apartment and no one from the office will call me
I had to paint the unit because of animal urine before my movers showed up, I had to hire cleaners to clean the unit it was disgusting toilet had body fluids all over it.
I have gotten to the point after she made me cry I will never be nice to Luanne!!

Words can do no justice to this place other than the fact that what you've read in the other reviews...especially about the serious roach infestation/problem...are dead on accurate.

And by the way...when I first moved here there was a property manager in the office here on site. But just a couple months later, they mysteriously moved her over to Miguel Place and are now managing multiple properties together. Same goes with the maintenance worker as well, who also mysteriously has changed at least 3 times since I've been here, and is now never seen on site like he used to be.

The point I want to make is that having that manager + maintenance staff here onsite to talk/consult with was extremely important for adding that "personal touch" to the property that this kind of place really needs. Once that dissolved...I really feel like they just stopped caring about their residents all together, and now treat us just as commodities.

I just moved in to my new apartment here two days ago. When I got here, there were live cockroaches in my apartment and the bathroom was filthy and disgusting. My toilet has been clogged since I got here and unable to flush. It is now leaking water all over the bathroom floor. I have tried to call their “24/7 emergency maintenance line” over 30 times with no answer. Their voicemail box is full and they did not respond to my emails either. Now I have been stuck in an apartment with a leaking toilet that can’t flush for over 2 days with no way to get a hold of anyone to come fix it. I am disgusted at the state of this apartment that I was given to move into. For the rate they are charging for rent, you’d think they could atleast have it cleaned and make sure there’s no live cockroaches before having a resident move in.

I made the mistake of not listening to the reviews for this place when I should’ve. I am overall happy with my apartment as it is a safe place to lay my head, but I feel misled as I was told that they have 24/7 emergency maintenance as an amenity for their residents.

Also, they do not allow you to view your actual unit until after you have signed your lease and you’re stuck with a filthy apartment. They show you a model apartment at a whole different complex, Miguels Place, that looks clean and nice. My apartment does not look like the model I was shown.

THIS APARTMENT IS CHEAP NOT GOOD! Any remark you leave about this place they’re gonna respond and say “just contact the office for someone to fix it” but even when you contact the office nothing is handled properly. My ac leaked all over my carpet, it took someone almost a week to treat the water for mold, the professional that came to treat it told us that it’s too late and him treating the water in the carpet would not prevent mold at that point. The ONLY respectful person in their management is their new hire Tammy, she’s super sweet and professional! Property manager Luann extremely unprofessional, once yelled at me like i’m a toddler on the phone because of false promises she made in regards to an error with their rent pay website, resulting in us having to pay an extra $100 in our rent that month. There’s mold problems that they refuse to fix, i was told that before i move into my unit they would clean my AC unit as i have a severe mold allergy and it looked absolutely disgusting and filled with mold on the inside, covered on the outside. I’ve been throwing up almost every single day due to my mold allergy and being exposed to mold. All of the remarks about roach infestations are also 110% right, but it’s not regular roaches you see as much as GIANT palmetto bugs crawling into your apartment from behind your sink or under your door. I’d also like to add that during the hurricane, i giant tree fell in front of my apartment, the only way out was to jump the fence or crawl through the tree (i’m allergic to trees) and it was not of urgency to them, it took them about 4 days to remove the tree

Everything the user Claire wrote is accurate. German roaches, mold, very shoddy maintenance over the years. It looks cute from the outside and it is highly doubtful you will see the unit you will be in before your move in day. By that point, you already signed the lease and spent money to move so you are stuck. The only reason this property is not 2 stars is bc of the former property manager. Oh, and the leasing office will be closed starting soon and that means no manager on property. I take the time to write this bc no one should ever be trapped in that place. I had to stop staying there two wks before my lease was up bc the roach problem was out of control and came out of nowhere. Their pest control is useless. I did not have a roach issue until June and had already resided there 9 months. Also, the a/c wall units are almost useless in the summer.

Please read use Claire's review bc it is dead on. I think most people who live in high points currently do not want to rock the boat by leaving truthful reviews. The person who is so happy about their renovated apartment is the studio next to mine that was vacant for a year bc of the fact meth heads trashed it. When they started the renovation, I think that is what sent the roach infestation to my apartment (building 1).

Save your money and sanity and find another property that is not owned by Elon. Consider this a public service message.

EDIT: Forgot to mention they are charging me for a new fridge and stove for a roach problem that I did not cause and which pest control did nothing to help. Elon is a joke and seriously, look anywhere else for a place.

EDIT 2 (date is 2/25). - All reviews with the 4 stars are posted by Elon staff and totally fake. Do not be fooled. I check the reviews on this place out of boredom and to see if anyone heeds my warnings about this place. Go over the other negative reviews, see the pics. Last thing, the apartment they show online is NOTHING like the apartment you will get. Bait and switch.

I realize I've put a great review already on this, BUT I have to give a huge shout out to Tammy and her maintenance crew. The day of hurricane Helene, our A/C OF COURSE decided to stop working. I reached out to Tammy that evening and the very next morning she emailed me back. By 3:30 the next day we had a brand new unit and we couldn't be happier. Very professional and kind. Thank you all again 🙏
