It is hard to believe what these people are doing. We have reserved a van a week ago to go to one of the very important events in a different city. We went to HERTZ Redwood city on El Camino to pick up our reserved car. The lady at the desk told us I am sorry we have no car at this moment. My wife could not hold it anymore and cried. How these people are not letting us know in advance. How these people operate with such disorganized and irresponsible attitude. She then tells us that there may be a possibility if we wait 40 minutes to an hour.
It must be entirely my mistake that I did not make the reservation at ENTERPRICE car rental

Hanock is such a lifesaver every time I rent from this location. Dropping off a car can sometimes feel like a hassle, but he always makes the process smooth and stress-free. Even when things are clearly busy, he handles it all with professionalism. I always feel taken care of when he’s there. Major appreciation for him!

I never leave negative review. But this one had to be said, Beth has 0 empathy and an attitude that shouldnt be in the customer service. Rude and disrespectful staff. African american young male staff plain out said: “if you want to escalate it to upper management thats the stupidest and most useless thing to do” apparently these 1 star reviews are true. Please never book with Hertz specifically one in redwood city. Save yourself some trouble and time. This has been the worst experience I’ve had in many years ;))

Worst service experience at Hertz and the staff is quite disrespectful of you and your time!

We had come to Bay Area from LA and needed to upgrade our car. The service is extremely slow, three desks but just one person working. Took 15 mins for each person and in the end, we did not get an upgrade even if we were in the presidential circle because it was “almost” their closing time. But we had been in the line for half an hour, patiently waiting for the line to proceed. There was no one behind us, we were the last ones.

With having really amazing experience at every Hertz we have ever been to, this was the worst ever experience with Hertz. Other Hertz and customer service is so much more better than here. Avoid if you can because they won’t make up to you for their inefficiency.

Absolutely crappy experience. Possibly the worst of all my experiences at hertz. I reserved a car online, I got a ‘managers special’, when I went to the redwood location to pick up the car (after paying for uber ride), I was told they don’t have a car. Was offered an ‘upgrade’ to a Prius for $30/day extra. Are you kidding me?

This is the worst managers special I’ve seen. They should call it ‘we can’t honor our commitment special’.

I hesitated renting from here based on the reviews but the agent at SFO didn’t add liability insurance so had to come to add it to my existing reservation.

Henock helped resolve the issue and even offered to upgrade the car for the inconvenience caused. Everything went smoothly and I had a blast riding my rental! Would defiantly come back again 🙂

Been going to this local Hertz location for the last 2.5 years and the staff is great here! Attentive and smooth service. No issues with extending the rental or any other questions. Cars always get delivered clean and full, ready to go.

Only note would be to regional management, there always seems to be a shortage of staff & cars at this location, which is great for me as a customer as I often get complimentary upgrades of the vehicle due to my category not being available, but often seems to result in additional stress on the team, which they always handle great!
