We had an amazing experience with Heron aboard Captain Mike's boat this past weekend! He is very friendly and an extremely knowledgeable guide about the Everglades Region. We just came back from a wonderful, relaxing and informative sunset boat trip with Captain Mike. He tells great stories about his work as a wildlife biologist, names the many birds we see- and hear- spots gators way before we do, and reveals surprising reasons why different birds have certain mannerisms or coloring.

After all that, he sets up the boat for a perfect view of the setting sun...and all in all- it makes for a lovely time on the water, away from the crowds at the dock.
Highly recommend this for a gift for visiting family, or for gifts for the friend who has everything.
(A lot more peaceful and less expensive than an airboat ride!)

Sunset cruise was lovely and quiet - we were the only ones on the canal. Beautiful sunset, lots of birds flying in to roost, and lots of alligators too. Mike was delightful and very knowledgeable. We highly recommend.

Mike gave us a fun and informative cruise on the canal that rings the refuge. A good way to get quietly closer to birds and alligators and very affordable compared to airboat tours. Highly recommend!

Mike is the best. We did an evening tour. We learned so much about the local birds and saw 46 alligators. I recommend wearing long sleeve clothes and wearing a lot of bug spray. I felt I needed goggles. It felt like it was raining mosquitos. Nonetheless, we had the best time and will definitely be back.

The boat was comfortable and Mike is knowledgeable and friendly and a good communicator. We saw a lot of birds and alligators and learned about them and their habitats and the geography affecting them. Recommended!
