We stumbled upon this museum while out exploring the Ouachita National Forest. It was a nice surprise! What awesome history and some of the coolest things I’ve ever seen in a museum. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly as well. Highly recommended!

Very nice museum and very helpful staff. We came here in 2011 for genealogy help and just returned for more help. Both visits were very successful and Jeannie and staff spent a lot of time helping us research. The museum was clean and the displays are well thought out and interesting to see. There is no charge but donations are appreciated. Don't miss this one if you visit the Hot Springs area.

OMG excellent displays of early Americana. If open go see the 1800's house behind the museum. We are so spoiled compared to what the early settlers made do. No electricity, no plumbing. As long as you lived near a Creek you had drinking water and bathing water, although I hoped it would be warmed first on the wood fired stove. There's a Sorghum Evaporator building beside also. Other early presentations like we saw at the annual Heritage Festival Oct. 12th. Plan to attend next year if in the area.

If ever passing through, stop in and step back in time in this museum featuring Montgomery county history! They have a Sorghum fest every year in October and it's a sweet old fashion event!
