My husband and I traveled all the way from Florida to come to Hells Gate for our first time. And let me tell you it was well worth the trip!! I’ve been to many haunts before like universal , Busch gardens, and some others and Hells Gate is by far the #1 I have ever been to. It wasnt just a haunted house it was a whole experience/ adventure. You start with a bus ride through the woods and you arrive to the haunted trail you have to go through before the house! The whole experience was about 2 hours (including waiting in line). The line went super quick and they had scare actors entertaining most of the time. You can tell how much thought and love goes into this whole show! Very well done zombie army!! And great job scare actors! There was not one moment I wasn’t scared. There was someone or something at every turn. I give this 10/10 and I highly recommend!!!

Although these pics will not do it any justice, I have worked and walked through a plethora of haunted houses, and this one by far is second to none. The sets, story, actors, music, and design were well picked and played. The only other haunted house that is possibly as good as HellsGate would be the White House! 🤮
But I digress.
Be ready for long lines for this Scarttraction.
Best part is the bus ride, which could have had a more interactive part where the drivers are also in character.
I wish there were more than 5 stars in could give for a rating because it deserves it!

Best haunted house experience we have done Disturbia, 13th floor, Joliet Prison and I can ensure this is the best one. The whole experience starts taking you on a school bus and getting to the destination once there there’s a couple of shops & pop ups. Waiting in line goes pretty fast there’s entertainment & music. Once it’s your groups turn to go in the fun begins it takes around an 1hr to go through the haunted house at least 2 hrs for the experience. At the end there’s the gift shop and multiple food trucks and Photo Booths.

Hellsgate is one of the best haunted houses I've been to. The detail and care in the art direction, costume design and makeup are fantastic. The many impressive animatronic characters elevate the over experience from just a jump scare attraction. Haven't seen something as fun and polished since we went to Universal Horror Nights in LA. Plenty of food and drinks to be had. I'm a sucker for a good corn dog, never fear there are other food trucks near! Lots of fun hand crafted merch to be had. Recommendation, go during the week to avoid the long lines. Lines are long for a reason.

More than just a house, it is an adventure that has a great build up. Board a school bus which takes you down a dirt road deep into the woods. This starts the 80s/90s horror movie type feel you're now in and tension continues to build. When you start your journey from here, you'll first have to take a trek down a trail through pretty large woods before you even get to the house. Consider this your warm up. From here you'll enter the house-mansion that puts you into another world. Super detailed floor to ceiling. No shortage of actors who really played into their roles. It gets more intense as you go, just like a movie. Plenty of unique scenes and no shortage of on point scares. Def my favorite haunted house of the year.

Oh my, was that such an incredible haunt. Floor to ceiling, not a plain black wall in sight. every inch was meticulously crafted. Every sight line strategically placed, every scare thoroughly thought out. All around it was incredible. The actors were fantastic, and the scenic was breathtaking. We even went back through a second time.
I love the depth of lore that this haunt also has. You get the story going through, but if you take some time either before or after to read up a bit, there’s just so much more detail the team has for you to enjoy.
As a scare actor and haunt maker myself, I adore the level of detail this place has on all fronts. That and the team that makes up the actors are truly incredible. Well worth the trip down from Canada!

Absolutely awesome time with my girlfriend and I, I’ve never been one for haunted houses bc I know everything is fake but GAWD DAMN I probably got genuinely scared like 30 times HAHAH I love this please highly recommend if you think there cheesy like me HAD SO MUCH FUN seriously 10/10 will be coming back for sure also I do recommend VIP tickets.. pay the extra and get there BEFORE 7 trust me.

The actors were phenomenal, fully committed to their roles, and truly brought the horror to life. The atmosphere was spine-chilling, and the attention to detail in every room made it feel like I had stepped into a twisted world of my worst fears. If you’re a fan of haunted houses, HellsGate is a MUST! It’s an adrenaline-packed, heart-pounding experience that will leave you thinking about it long after you leave. Simply put—best haunted house I’ve ever been to!
