Carol is a DREAM to work with! My husband and I (who recently got married) were struggling to find a photographer we liked and connected with, and then along came Carol. Her flexibility, kindness, and genuine interest in us as a couple made it the easiest decision to go with her! We got married in an intimate ceremony, but we needed her services at 2 locations. She was happy to oblige, and gave us unlimited photography for 2 hours! I would recommended Carol and Happy Gatherings a million times over! I'll be using her again, that's for sure!

Carol's flexibility and willingness to take spontaneous photos make her candids the best. When taking choreographed photos, Carol's gentle suggestions and quick wit make the posing process a blast. Carol worked with my wedding planner flawlessly, taking direction as well as checking in with me and the groom regularly to make sure we were content. Carol thinks outside the box, taking originally styled photos that can be appreciated for years to come.

Carol photographed my wedding on August 4, 2019, in Rockport, and we could not be more happy with our results and experience with Happy Gatherings! Carol came to scope out the venue days before the wedding which helped her : be comfortable and aware of all the best places for photos and lighting, as well as prepared her for what exactly what we were wanting. Carol was willing to go to great lengths by trekking to a quarry for “first look” photos before the ceremony, and then she did such a beautiful job being hidden during the ceremony while getting amazing photos of all different angles. She was then ready and excited even to head down to the beach, a new location, for photos of us (the groom and bride) on the water. Her joy and passion shone through and she made us feel excited and comfortable taking photos when normally we aren’t. She even got intimate and subtle moments from the reception as well as big moments. The photos from us dancing were my absolute favorite. Carol didn’t leave until we got all of the photos that we wanted. She is amazing and the photos came out so beautiful! So happy that Carol and Happy Gatherings were a part of our big day in Rockport! And I will definitely recommend her!
