I had flew in from Texas supporting my mother during her surgery at Christiana, Mr Jackson helped me reserve my room last minute where I was able to get a good nights sleep because it was safe. This area was convenient because I was 5 minutes from hospital and restaurants were close by. I would give them a 10 for hospitality, living down South I believe in great service and I received every bit of it!

We came in from out of town and we were greeted by Jackson, this guy was amazing! It was like I was greeted by an old friend I hadn’t seen in years, we laughed and carried on for about 15 minutes! It’s clear Jackson loves his job and has a genuine attitude of care and compassion towards his customers!! After a long ride this is exactly the kind of interaction I need!!! What a great first experience walking through the door!! I recommend staying here simple because he made it so inviting and genuine!! The room was great and the free breakfast was really good as well!! If your coming to this part of Delaware this is the place to be!!!!!

We had an amazing experience at this place. Very spacious and clean rooms with almost everything you need. Breakfast was awesome with hot omelettes, French toasts etc. Loui showed great hospitality during breakfast and accommodated us for a special request. Denise at the front desk had a big smile and great laughters it was fun having a small conversation with her while thanking her for a great stay. I’ll highly recommend this Hampton Inn.

Mr. Jackson ( front desk) and Dyamond are excellent! So personable and friendly. We stay here because they make you feel like family and always welcome. We stayed here twice and they really make the experience for us. |The rooms are always clean. Breakfast is good and the selection varies so you get something new each day

Employees are very nice especially the woman that manned the breakfast bar the 4 days when we were there. I loved the hot breakfast (one day was scrambled eggs the next omelets; and I liked the hot potatoes a lot. It’s so nice not to worry about what you’re going to eat first thing in the morning. I just took one star off because I hated the pillows so much. They look puffy but completely deflate to a pancake once you lay on them. I had to sleep with 4! I’ll bring my pillow next time I come 🙂

Front desk staff were nice on arrival. Room was nice upon entry, clean. Hotel was also clean in common areas. Unfortunately, other areas were not as good. Breakfast was not appropriately staffed for the number of guests. The food/drinks/plateware were constantly empty and the one person on duty could not keep up with the consumption. Bacon was greasy and barely crisp on the first day and the sausage patties were literally half burnt (like on the same patty it was cooked on half of it and burnt on the other). Guests were rude and not managing their kids, creating a mess everywhere and wasting food. After the second breakfast we gave up and went out every day, which wasn't great since we paid for hot breakfast here. For a 5 night stay we only had our room serviced once on the last night. Every morning, housekeeping skipped our room because of the sign on the door, but we were out daily from 10-8 and housekeeping never returned. The last day we left before 10 and that was the day they finally serviced the room. By that point trash was overflowing (even with us taking some out on our own) and the towels were in need of replacement. Housekeeping also wasn't considerate when cleaning rooms early as they use the deadbolt to keep the rooms opened. But they kept letting the door slam every time the opened and closed it. As others have commented, the walls are a bit thin, so you can hear other guests and housekeeping easily. There is a boarded up hotel next door and some homeless from time to time, however, it was of limited concern (but something to be aware of). Overall, not sure it is worth the cost and not sure we will stay again without signs of improvements.

Stayed for one night this past weekend, and have had great stays prior! Front desk is super kind and welcoming. Shoutout to Matt! Always top tier clean - can’t stress that enough! Perfect location for a Philly visit, if you’re not trying to stay in the city!
