We are very sad and frustrated, as we chose that hotel twice, within a year, for the same reason, and both times our visit was a disappointment. The pool was unavailable for use. The first time was for construction, and the last time was because they had to perform a chemical treatment (on a Sunday when Sunday was a family day). Why don't they do that treatment on a Monday or a day with less traffic? Even on Saturday, when I checked in, I asked about the pool, and they never mentioned that it would be closed on Sunday. On the contrary, they told me I could use it. This tells me that not even the employees know or understand what's happening at the hotel. Whatever the reason, the hotel is obligated to communicate the availability of the pool ahead of time so guests don't travel there and get the unpleasant surprise of not being able to use it. After being unable to use the pool without any advance notice, we decided to rest in our room with our two-year-old daughter, who kept asking for the pool, and occasionally, the fire alarm went on. We had to evacuate the building before realizing the alarm had been triggered by a hotel employee who didn't know how to use the toaster. She giggled, claiming she didn't know how to use it. To top it off, she refused to leave the building because it was cold. However, all the hotel guests had to go regardless of the inclement weather. I find it irresponsible and rude on the part of the team of ladies who caused this situation. None of them wanted to leave the hotel and were dying of laughter. This situation is disrespectful to us. Finally, there's never anyone available at the front desk. There's always someone behind a door, hiding or waiting to see through a camera so they can come out and ask what's needed. It is impersonal and unprofessional for a hotel to work behind a door instead of the front desk, as it should be.

I'll probably have to return next year, but I'll think carefully before booking a room at this hotel.

I had no problems and found my room to be mostly nice. The tub/shower could have used some extra cleaning though in my option (a little but of rust stains). The room wasn’t loud even though there was a freeway behind it.

I never interacted with staff as I checked in online using the app.

Just overall mediocre. I arrived after 9p the staff wasn't rude to speak of, just very distracted. No mention of time of breakfast or anything and went back into the office. No idea what was going on and we all get distracted so easy to forgive. The problems started in the room, first it smelled so strongly of smoke I though there was no way someone didn't smoke in that room. I asked to move and they did move me, next door which was not much better but by then it was after 11 so I thought I'd deal with it. Had trouble falling asleep with the smell in the room but did eventually, then the A/C - Heater unit starts making a terrible grinding noise around 1:30. I go to the front desk and the manager on duty is sound asleep in a chair holding a remote to the TV. I grabbed some allergy medicine (b/c the residual smoke) off the shelf (paid for it the morning after) and went back to my room. Then at 3:45 someone a few doors down starts banging on a door, I know the hotel can't control how guests act but it was just another thing. Breakfast the next morning was mediocre at best but at least the coffee was hot. ||All in all it was fine, however if I stay in Sturbridge again, I think I'll look for a place that values guest experience a little bit more than these folks.

The elevator felt shaky and would take forever to close. The pool is supposed to be heated, and it was cold. The hot tub is supposed to be hot, and it is warm when the jets go on it is cold water coming into the pool. And then the room I was in, the bathtub had a hole and rust in the tub.

Just stayed at the hotel this past week end. Picked it because it had an indoor pool and hot tub. Checking in the was a sign saying the pool was under renovation. Asked the person at the desk about it, they said it was being renovated for this past year. The room they have their breakfasts had windows where you could see the pool. Could not see any signs of renovations. Very disappointing.
Also no cleaning of the room from one day to the other.

A water leak, coming through the ceiling light fixture, directly over the commode, created a puddle on the bathroom tile floor. I placed a hand towel on it and informed the front desk. No one responded, no one called us back and the drip continued. In the morning I informed the chamber maids so they could remain safe. NEVER AGAIN

Front desk guy charged me for an extra night by accident because he didn’t know what he was doing. I had to call them to discuss the added charge and now it’s going to take over a week to get my money back because some teenager didn’t know how to charge my card correctly.

As a pregnant person with back issues, the bed made my time in Massachusetts painful. Don’t stay here if you have back problems. The beds are awful.

The location was fine.

Oof. You’d think Hilton buying Hampton Inn would ensure at least good upkeep, hm? Not so.
This HI felt run down, room was worn, window covering tattered, all the things that make you wonder how clean it actually is.
Pool closed. Meeting room, which we actually would have made use of, no longer avail.
Breakfast seemed ok. But Panera across the street seemed a better option.
I wouldn’t stay here again.
