Came here for a quiet getaway with my husband. I booked our room through priceline and paid an extra fee to have my dog. The room was falsley advertised as having free breakfast which there was not, the office claimed they're trying to get that information removed. Our TV also had no cable access so we had no TV during our stay and when I asked for a discount due to both inconviences the office said they cannot do that. The rooms were nice despite hearing the cars going by throughout the night, but when you come to a hotel you just expect to get whats promised that you pay for!

COME TO THIS PLACE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

This is nothing like a hotel or motel; it is a covered shelter located in India. Everything about this place takes back to how things are done in India.

Service: 0/10
Room: -99/10
Location: 1/10 ( that's only because Shaws is near).

I book 7 days in this place, with my children.
The first room I was given is room 107: There was a fowl smell in that room. I couldn't trace where the smell was coming from... But honestly I wonder how I was able to not throw up. The smell is so strong that one could think that it's cadaver smell.

Following to that, I went to the "office" and ask another room... Since it was 5 AM ( o guess) I was told that my room will be changed at 10 am. I agreed and went back to room 107...

At around 12pm... I heard a banging noise at my door and upon opening the door, it was that same "employee" who previously told me that my room will be changed at 10 am. He told me in a very harsh way to move my car so that the snow can be cleared. I was so surprised and choked at the same time... Because I worked at night and was trying to sleep although sleep was difficult consider the smell of room 107. I had to ask my children to wear masks ๐Ÿ˜ท and I did weared a mask as well.

While I was irritated by the employee at my door, I asked him when my room was going to be changed, and he replied me:" Tommorow "... Immediately I told him :"No , I will not wait until tomorrow, it must happen today".

Fast forward, o went at the "office / continental breakfast area" to have my room changed and the employee there was a different one... He ask his coworker to put me in room 120. Getting into room 120, it seems bigger and more normal but after staying there, I could detect that I had left hell to go back into a more sofisticated hell.

Room 120 has an isolation problem, the cold breeze enter effortlessly through the front door... given the fact that the "heater" is all the way at the back close to the bathroom, you literally feel outside because it is cold ๐Ÿฅถ in that room.

I had to have my children wear winter jacket indoor and my daughter was starting coughing etc... Just to topping it all, the light would often go off. And guess what? The toilet ๐Ÿšป would clogged for sure. To that point that the hotel management are aware of that and have made provision available for that eventuality. ๐Ÿ˜€

Listen, after 2 days in room 120, I had enough and pack everything. I got to the office and ask them to refund me my money; Which he did (the same employee), I guess he knew that I wasn't going to take "no" for an answer....

Now, it is up to you to book your stay to this place. I was personal chocked to observe the nonchalance at which this establishment has subscribed, all because they love money more than anything and to hell with how their clients feel in the rooms they are paying for. This is a urge : NONSENCE.

I had told the Proprietor that we would be arriving after midnight, when I booked the room; he said that that was fine, and that I should just ring the bell. He forgot, though, because he called me, that night, to make sure that I was still coming. That was okay, though.||Sure enough, we rang the bell when we arrived. Although I'm sure that the guy was tired, he carried our bags up to our room for us, even though they were not many, and not heavy (I have never experienced such service, before, from anywhere else.). He led us in, and made sure that we were satisfied, before he left. On the way to our room, he asked that I move the car, 3 spots over, and then directed me.||The room was clean and roomy-enough. The wallpaper was very modern. I was disappointed that there was no carpeting, but I've read that hotels are doing away with that. The beds were super-comfortable, and the shower was so modern-looking, that I was afraid that I would need a tutorial on how to work it. You really just needed to pull up the lever. The towels were very nice.||I couldn't find any tissues in the room, but the room came with a fridge and coffee maker. ||The motel provides 1 bar of soap, and 1 small tube of shampoo. I was glad that I had brought a second bar of soap (so I could also have 1 for the shower), and that I had brought more shampoo and conditioner.||There is NOT housekeeping if you stay more than 1 day, although I saw, and received, no notification of this (This is why I gave this place only 4 stars, and not 5.). Therefore, the shampoo tube was not replaced--nor were the towels. I was happy that they had 2 sets of towels, and that I had only used 1, the first day. I'm also glad that I knew from experience in other motels, to hang up towels, if you plan to be staying more than one day.||It says that the motel provides breakfast, but unless you're satisfied with just donuts, I didn't see much else. On Monday AM, when we got there at about 8:00, there was only 1 donut left, anyway.||There are about 3 different rows of rooms, each room with a door going directly outdoors. One row is up a hill. There are a few parking spots up there, but it seemed to be easier parking down below, especially when there were other cars parked on that hill. The parking area which is not on the hill, is sort of a narrow space, between where the cars park and the main building/office. ||It seems a little crazy, getting to this motel, at night, but it is right near some eateries, and next to a decent-size shopping center. It's not all that far from Sturbridge Village.||I would stay here again.

Experienced a water leak directly over our commode through the bathroom ceiling light fixture. Placed towel on the tile to prevent slipping, called and informed front desk. No one came, no one called back with information, and the leak continued all night.
My husband has called the hotel twice, and no one has responded with an acknowledgment.

There was no daily breakfast as advertised, only on the weekend. They were supposed to serve from 7:30 am till 10 am: they put everything away by 9:30 am. The office had 3 risers with no railing which is illegal in MA. The floor of the room was filthy and gritty. The shower was not cleaned between guests: there was an empty shampoo bottle in the corner. There were coffee stains all over the tops of the furniture. Daily housekeeping was nonexistent. I had to ask EVERYDAY and they gave me a hard time. They certainly didnโ€™t clean the room, just gave me fresh linen, made the bed and emptied trash. They didnโ€™t replenish, EVER, shampoo, soap, coffee, cups. There was no ice machine. After asking for ice, they would give me 2 cups. Beds were uncomfortable. They overcharged me over $477 which I caught. Iโ€™m sure it was intentional as the man in the office knew I had paid for 4 nights and just needed 1 extra night. The heater/ac combo was noisy and sounded like a running car. No phone in room. The office was locked from 10 pm - 8 am and you had to wait for someone to open the door. The door to the room stuck and was hard to open at times.

I booked this motel because everything else around Sturbridge with decent reviews was at least $50 more. After staying for a night Iโ€™m confident I made the right decision. The owner checked me in and out and heโ€™s a very friendly guy. The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable - I got 9 hours of sleep which is rare for me in an unfamiliar hotel room. All the basic amenities (body wash, shampoo, hair dryer, coffee machine) were included in the stay. I especially enjoyed the shower which was something youโ€™d expect in a 4 or 5 star hotel. Iโ€™d definitely stay here again.

Very friendly staff. good parking, beds were nice and clean and room was nice and cool. Bathroom smelled of mildew but its a very nice setup from the light up/heated mirror to the 3 different options on the shower. Another thing the handheld showerhead does not work and instead water just pours our of the bottom of the shower. Nice place to stay for the night i definitely would recommend it!

I stayed here for a week two different times. A Very nice, quaint inn. The staff are Albert kinda and attentive to whatever your needs are. Definitely an older property, but it has been renovated very nicely.
And, oh my, the SHOWER was just as incredible as the reviews say. But not every room has the same shower, so be aware of that.
