Recently did the Eastern Europe cruise and it was fantastic! This was my first Grand Circle cruise. I have done numerous Overseas Adventure Travel trips. The cost of the trip was a good value considering almost all the excursions were included. Our program director Monica was excellent and very knowledgeable. We loved that they had free electric bikes on the boat that we could ride along the Danube. They also have a water station to refill water bottles. The food was also very good, along with the entire crew. The stops on the cruise was also interesting. Golubac Fortress was especially nice. Loved Bucharest and Budapest.

This is my fifth trip with OAT/GCT. As with all previous trips, it was an all around excellent experience. The tour guide was kind and knowledgeable, the hotels were top of the line, and the itinerary covered UNESCO world heritage sites, lovely scenery, and experiences that gave me a chance to feel part of the Iberian culture. I can't say enough good things about this travel company!

This was our first Grand Circle Cruise. We were very impressed how organized everything was. We had a great group leader and learned a lot about Eastern Europe. The food was amazing. I definitely recommend taking a trip with them.

Beware of this company. I reached out to them through a deal from Travelzoo, and they completely misrepresented the cost of my flights. I ended up paying double for flights that I could’ve gotten on my own. When I called to ask them to cancel, of course there was a $400 per person charge which erased any savings I would’ve gotten by making the flights on my own. They were unwilling to help me in any way. I will certainly never use this line again, and I am just suggesting that you be very careful should you choose to plan travel with them in the future. You need to question everything!

The ships, tours, and sights are stellar, but the crew and staff are truly what makes every trip perfectly special. I have pictures of them, too, but respect their privacy. There is no comparison to the other river cruise lines because the shiny marble and crystal on the fancier ships themselves are not what we value. I’m always surprised at how impressive each trip is with GCT!

Horrible service from this company. Avoid at all costs.
I have traveled to over 130 countries with multiple agencies and have never had such a bad experience. I was assigned an extremely aggressive GCT salesperson, who gave me bad information and told me if I didn't pay right away, I wouldn't be able to go. I then realized she signed me up for the wrong dates that overlapped with another trip. I tried to change it to the correct dates the next day and was told someone would get back to me. I'm still waiting 2 weeks later. You talk to a different person every time and there are no supervisors and no one to email and nothing is in writing. They sold me insurance, but never sent information about how to contact the insurance. I now may be out thousands of dollars for a trip that I can't take.

Our first real river cruise - and our best trip ever. Wonderful and caring trip leaders and ship's crew. Outstanding food, awesome sights, both on land and from the ship. Meaningful educational programs. We'll definitely sign up for more trips from Grand Circle.

I enjoyed my first trip on Grand Circle. The staff was accommodating and very pleasant. The meals wonderful. The guides Soli & Vedran were the best and most knowledgeable of any trip I have taken and I have been on many guided trips.
I would definitely travel with Grand Circle again.
