One of the worst travel experiences I’ve had. Accommodations were terrible, except for the Game Lodge, to the point several of us ‘ relocated’ and paid for a decent hotel room. Food was generally inedible so thankfully we had good meals at our newly found hotels, which we paid for. Saving grace were the tour guides; knowledgeable and friendly. Several days of sightseeing that seemed to be a waste of time. Do not use Go Touchdown Travel. You’ve been warned.

The good: The guides are fantastic - both the ones we had in capetown (Tony) and Kruger / Johannesburg (Thabo). It was an incredibly educational and fascinating trip learning not only about the wildlife but also the history of the country.

The bad: you get placed at properties that go touchdown owns (seems like they are also in real estate), which can be hit or miss and can also be rundown.

The REALLY bad: we got placed in a location that recently had jewelry theft from one of the tour groups only the past week and we're never told. I then experienced my own theft. It was only at the police station that I was told that there is a problem with this particular resort (again owned by go touchdown).

There were quite a few things on my trip that didn’t go as they should have.
No one greeted me at the airport- so wasted 2 hours trying to figure out where to go. Why wouldn’t someone working at a travel agency have WhatsApp?
Arriving a day early wasn’t necessary; especially since we didn’t do anything the first day so that was a big letdown. Missed an important museum and shopping day due to guide flip flopping schedule. Also, the last day - charging me $45 to go to what was promoted as an artisan market to be a little tourist trap. Then leaving is when you should add a day otherwise you sit around ALL DAY waiting and waiting for your night flight. Lots of $$$ spent but treated like I won it or something.

A wonderful time! I traveled in August 2016. Starting with the travel arrangements, including and up until the very end of the South African Safari experience. Everybody was very personable, kind and accommodating. A real sense of family and unbelievable fellowship. A once in a lifetime experience, as I’ve been told, and it is but why just once?… Definitely deserves a repeat! Must go again soon! 🇿🇦 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am so delighted to write about my experience with Go Touch. I went to South Africa on the tours to Cape Town and Safari in Oct 2013. It was such a special experience, everything from swaying on the back of an enormous elephant to standing on top of the world on Table Mountain. I always felt comfortable in my environment, whether I was 10 feet from a large male lion or staring into the eyes of a baboon who wanted my tic tacks. The time spent on Robben Island, speaking with those people who were prisoners with Mandela, was incredibly moving. Their sense of forgiveness and grace left us all feeling so blessed in our own lives. All of the guides were fabulous, always helpful and incredibly knowledgeable.

The worst travel experience I have ever had!!! Absolutely, no communication between the staff and myself when our plane was delayed. Had to pay for hotel room in Johannesburg after delayed flight even though I had contacted them by text, phone and email to tell them of my late arrival.
Was told it wasn’t their problem and that I was rude to their staff even though I was the one getting the run around.
Stay Away from them!!

Absolute rudeness by Australian call centre "Luke". Because I cut him short and asked to be taken off his call list he lectured me in my attitude. My orivate time, my phone, if I want to cut you short I will. Will NEVER use this company.
