Gifford House - Provincetown, Massachusetts

We were visiting family over Christmas but wanted a break from then and also wanted to check out out Ptown during the xmas period. We spent one night at Gifford House, and really enjoyed it. The staff were great and the rooms perfect. We were only able to spend one night, but next time, we'll plan longer.

A beautiful boutique hotel that feels like an art gallery. The lobby is cozy for a hang out drink with friends or you can go to the attached bar. Each room is unique but very well appointed. The bed was super comfortable and it's very centrally located.

The room was clean and eclectic, modern amenities with antiques thrown in, which gave a very comfortable vibe. The porch bar was friendly and inviting. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. Playing Ms. PacMan with my wife was great fun. We really enjoyed karaoke on Saturday night in the lounge. The true stars of Gifford House are the staff. Kevin and Sylvana were friendly, knowledgeable, and made my wife and I feel like we were visiting friends. I plan on staying at Gifford House whenever I’m in Provincetown.

I stayed at the Gifford House last weekend in a double queen room with a friend. The room was fantastic. Plenty of space for both of us. The AC worked great and everything was clean and decorated nicely. It rained all weekend so it was nice to have a decent-sized modern TV.

The new patio - WOW! They really did an awesome job of building out the new space.

Filtered water is available in the lobby 24/7 which is nice considering Ptown prohibits the sale plastic water bottles.

My friend and I were here for a spiritual retreat that was fantastic, and the owner Steve also participated so we got to know him a bit. He’s incredibly nice,VERY down to earth and very accommodating to the needs of the retreat group. The event spaces were also very conducive to the retreat.

I rally loved staying here and will probably do so again when I visit next year.

The location was great, Staff so friendly, clean rooms etc , but the level of noise is more than what was advertised. It is on the website under policies about noise but the level of noise does not do the policy justice.

I’d add a video of what it sounds like at midnight if I could.

Bring noise cancelling headphones that you can sleep in and if not expect to stay up till 1am on Fridays/Saturdays. Maybe the week days are not as loud, I don’t know.

Note: the piano in the lobby and the singing goes right thru the door….. You can hear it loudly.

My wife and I had the best time at the Gifford house this summer enjoying the live music. We absolutely adore the cozy atmosphere and all the recent updates that make it feel like a home away from home. Provincetown has so many entertainment options, but this place has stolen our hearts. The staff is fantastic, always so warm and welcoming. And let's not forget about Adam - he's the best! Such a sweetheart and so good-looking too. Major props to the new owner for reviving this gem and making it even better than before.

I almost always stay at the Gifford when I visit Ptown. It’s one of the oldest inn’s still around in Provincetown and LOVE what the new owner has done renovating and building a center for the community. So many cool events. Great people. Fun experience. Gifford is exactly what I love about Ptown and what makes it so unique. Can’t wait to see what comes next and glad there’s still something so real and special that’s so much more than just a hotel.

I stayed at Gifford House Inn from September 17-23, and had an incredible experience. We booked the 2 bedroom suite (annex room 30) which was spacious, well-appointed, quiet, and had a beautiful view of the bay.
The purpose for my trip was to run a Queer mental-health retreat to celebrate the fall Equinox. The staff were helpful from start to finish, from Hannah at the front desk to Mike, the operations manager, and Steve, the new Gifford House owner. It's spaces like the Gifford House that bring a much needed sense of community and co-creation that we have to support and protect. I'm so grateful for my experience with Gifford House and look forward to future stays and experiences there!
