My husband and I are on a road trip from Michigan bringing our Granddaughter to see the eclipse. We booked many months ago. Staff is very helpful. I ending up driving separately from my husband, and therefore brought our dog for my protection. The manger was a bit concerned about the size of my dog, yet understanding. Looking forward to a peaceful night and hoping for clear sky tomorrow.

the staff is fantastic and very accommodating. it's an older traditional motor - lodge style motel. Hi value and no frills but there is WiFi, hot water and the room was clean. The lobby has an amazing Pothos plant too!

This motel was the most disgusting motel I’ve ever been too. Upon entering my room I flipped over a pillow and found a live bed bug! Let alone when opening the door a huge bug came crawling down the wall, the mattresses is covered in unknown stains, along with the furniture and walls. It should be illegal with how disgusting that place is. Beyond unhealthy. I asked for a refund as I didn’t even put my things in the room and they made me pay for one night even though I was only there for a few mins. Be careful! The man who checked me in was very rude and at first refused to give me a refund until I had to raise my voice and shout how disgusting his rooms were. Let alone their was unknown hair all over the pillows as well.

Clean and comfortable! The affordable price and positive reviews led us to check-out this motel. We needed a good night's sleep and a good shower - we didn't want to pay for an over-priced room. This is a no frills motel but very clean, comfortable and quiet. I am very picky about the cleanliness of where I stay and this room passed my test! It is located in quiet area of town that felt quite safe. It appeared to be family owned and ran. They were very warm and friendly. I asked them if they had coffee available in the morning and they gladly made a pot for us. We would definately stay there again. Very good value!

My wife and I stayed in 31 with our pit bull.
The room was clean and updated. Owner was a little skeptical , but has an obvious sense of humor and asked if I smoked maybe 6 times. Gas Lite is safe, quiet, and comfortable.
It doesn't have that "cheap" feeling that you get from those other low cost places. Highly recommend. Good stay and we will be back.

I was very happy with my stay here. I found the Gas Light via Google during my trip west on Rte50. Great price for one night and easy to reach off 50 via Rte 1. The rooms are modern and the property is very clean and well maintained.
