The Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center located right across the street from the park offers visitors guidance including road and trail maps, displays and a wonderful informational movie about the park. There is a wonderful gift shop located in the center as well. The visitor center provides stunning views of the Garden of the Gods Park and Pikes Peak from their balcony. You can book guided tours of the park from the visitor center as well. The building, facilities and grounds were very well maintained and the staff, mostly volunteers, were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. A must stop when visiting the park.

TL;DR: The Garden of the Gods Visitor Center is a must-visit with interactive exhibits, a great café, and spectacular views.

If you’re visiting Garden of the Gods, the Visitor Center is a must-stop! It’s packed with information about the park, including interactive exhibits and displays that make the experience even more engaging. While I didn’t get a chance to check out the shop, I thoroughly enjoyed the café, where I sipped on a hot chocolate while taking in the stunning views. It’s a perfect way to enhance your visit to this beautiful park!

Very popular and a great way to be outdoors enjoying nature. Children may get tired from the walking but there are areas to climb and hide that they will enjoy. Every turn is a new vision to behold. Good for strollers and wheelchairs! Lots of places to sit and rest but be prepared for rain or hot sun! There are bathrooms throughout.
It's a free tour on your own or buy tix at the visitor center for a ride with tour guide. Be prepared to spend as it is expensive.
There is also a fairly cheap movie to watch at the visitor center for those geology and history geeks!

What a great area to visit and it is a completely free city park, but is very well maintained and the visitor center is very nice. We visited the visitors center in the evening to get trail maps for the next day. They now require a $3 "donation" for paper maps, but they did have links to a free driving audio tour, online maps, and a map you could take a picture of. It is a nice building with good restrooms, several exhibits about the area, and a very nice gift shop.

We came back the next morning to tour the Garden of the Gods starting around 8:00 AM and it was a great decision. For the first hour we only saw a few other people. By 9:30 the central area of the park was getting busy and we were done by 10:45 when it started to get packed. We would likely go even earlier next time and start in the main area then go to the other formations after.

Overall you can't beat the natural beauty of this curated park that is completely free!

One of my favourite free national parks that can be easily driven in your own vehicle, or you can take a variety of experiences. The Segway tours are fantastic, but a more affordable and quicker option is the trolley rides which can each be booked in advance or inside the visitor centre. If you’re driving the route, car parks can get busy, so be prepared to wait for a space. Lots of amazing places to stop for a photo, and some amazing history of how the park became free for everyone to enjoy. If you go early enough, you’ll get some amazing photos and maybe even spot some wildlife when there’s fewer people.

The best view of the GoTG. The center is being remodeled this week. Only portable restrooms are available outside. This place has so much to offer: a balcony for the beat photos of the amazing Garden, a short film about the Garden, exhibits , gift shop and coffee shop. The park volunteers are super nice. They can show you the hiking trail system and all the great things about the park.

This was a great side trip from Rocky Mtn to Great Sands NP. It was a little crowded, but their trail system is great. Driving by car if you are in a hurry, walking trails if you have time and bike/Segway routes for a little extra fun.
