Was greeted at the door by an employee, so already my expectations were high and were met at every step of the journey!

You have to fill out a waiver when you’re in line for obvious reasons but they had a nice employee walking around to help those who didn’t notice or needed help filling it out.

We weren’t there for long, so we got the 3 hour pass which was $50ish total for me and my son.

Both of our eyes were wide as we walked past the kiosk and entered the main facility… rope activities everywhere, ladders, slides, underground tunnels that pop up all over the place, and a plane… yes a PLANE! They even had a laser room like you’d see in the movies, sadly my son wasn’t able to enjoy that as kids just run around through the lasers and won’t wait their turn (More of a parenting problem than a problem with the facility).

Overall amazing experience and will be back for more fun when we have an entire day to spend there!

We celebrated my son’s 12th birthday at Fritz in The Colony, and it was an incredible experience! Brett and his team went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The facility offers a wide range of attractions that kept the kids entertained the entire time. Whether you’re planning a party, an event, or just a fun day out, I highly recommend it!

WOW WOW WOW!! As soon as I entered the building, they made me feel like a celebrity! I had bought a ticket a while back as soon as they went on sale so I had really been looking forward to visiting. This place honestly takes the cake when it comes to adventure. The only other place that could barely compete is Bolder Adventure Park, but like I said this place is still way better. SO many things to do my head was spinning (in a good way). There was a little hick up with their systems and the guy told me my ticket had expired which was honestly nuts cuz it was the right date and time but they gave me a ā€œpass.ā€ That is my only complaint for them to get those kinks out because I would’ve been devastated had I not been able to visit considering I paid for a ticket. ANYWAY, I just can’t recommend this place enough!! Tunnels, slides, a real airplane, ropes course, zip lines, the list goes on!! What a GREAT idea and I LOVE the design of the place!! Unfortunately the weather was a bit bad at first but on my last 30 minutes they opened up the outside zip lines and it was AWESOME!!! I was sweating my šŸ‘ off!!! It’s a serious work out if you’re not in shape lol!! But seriously everything was 10/10 🌟!!!! Can’t wait to go back already!! (Please note, wear comfy clothing/shoes as you will work up a sweat if you plan on doing all difficulties of the treetop) I had to go buy a Tshirt cuz I was silly enough to wear a long sleeve shirt and sweatpants. Will prepare better next time! AWESOME JOB YALL!!!

Today, I trucked out to Grandscape in The Colony to see the new Fritz’s Adventure indoor park that has beenn under construction for quite a while. What I found inside blew me away and exceeded any reasonable expectations.

This is a ā€œFamily Adventure Parkā€ and it’s a physical experience. The facility is made up of a seemingly endless maze of ropes, tubes, ladders, passageways, slides, and even a full sized navy airplane! I was especially shocked when I learned that there is an entire subterranean level only accessible by manholes and other hidden tunnels! Below the floor, kids (and adults) were wizzing by, screaming in delight.

For more advanced thrill seekers they had additional experiences including harnessed climbing, which crisscrossed into the free play zones in such a way that you couldn’t tell which was which. For the ultimate wild ones, you can even add on a zip line package that allows you to literally fly out of the building and into the parking lot. Climbing a series of huge steel ā€œtreesā€ you continue on, further and further from the building until at one point you are literally ziplining over a public street intersection.

Can you imagine leaving Nebraska Furniture Mart with a new mattress and before you get on the highway a screaming kid flies over your car while you’re at the red light?

Back inside of Fritz’s there are multiple levels to explore, a full service cafe and a lot of waiting and lounge areas. I discovered a cave tunnel system that led to a laser maze (think Mission Impossible) and even a stainless steel slide that got me up to a concerning rate of speed.

All in all I was blown away with the industrial, physical nature of the place. There is not a single arcade game or claw game here. This is a place where you can bump your head, skin your knee, get some bruises and laugh the whole time doing it. For those of you who grew up several decades ago, this place feels like they are finally going to let kids play like we did again here.

Downsides would be the price, at $25 per participating person ages 5+ this could be cost prohibitive for many families. Obviously this is not ADA friendly either, so many people with disabilities won’t be able to experience the best this spot can offer. And finally the concept is so committed to its physical, industrial design that some kids may experience discomfort. I heard some kids complaining that they had hurt their knees or that specific ropes or wooden elements were hard on their legs. Maybe kids have become too soft.

Despite the expense and natural challenges of such a place, I felt a childlike sense of wonder and amazement seeing all of the chutes and ladders that have been intertwined here by the designers. This is a place with some serious replay value that gives you plenty of exercise. It has different levels of intensity that makes it appealing to nearly anyone, so long as your size or physical ability does not prohibit you.

Highly recommend you check out Fritz’s Adventure in The Colony! This place was COOL and you’ll be glad you went!

Sooo much fun! The activities and underground tunnels are endless. For doing the zipline course, I took another reviewers advice in taking the orientation course as soon as you arrive, because it takes ~10 minutes and the lines can get long fast, especially during their busier hours. My partner waited and it took her over 30 minutes to actually get started, meanwhile my daughter and I completed it in 10 minutes. We purchased the 3 hour passes and it was just enough time for our first time. We explored the entire time and there’s a lot more we didn’t even see or try yet. My son, who isn’t tall enough for the zip line, also had plenty of things to do. There’s a laser maze, small playground area, and a wall to run up and slide down. We had a blast and can’t wait to come back! Oh and the selfie stations are a plus!

I've been anxiously awaiting the opening of Fritz's Adventure - the newest addition to all the fun Grandscape has to offer.

I went on a weekday morning from 10am-1pm (school still in session) so it wasn't crowded at all. I didn't have to wait to participate in anything.

PARKING:
Limited spots in Fritz's lot (wraps around the building). I arrived about 5 mins before they opened and there were about 5 spots remaining. Additional parking in the lot just across the street.

ADMISSION:
I pre-purchased a 3-hr All Access pass online, so bypassed the line of walk-ins. Yay!

Everyone participating must sign a digital waiver. Participants are given wristbands - required to enter the attraction floor.

Non-participants (without wristbands) can head upstairs and sit/eat/drink/observe from the upper level.

ATTRACTIONS:
There are sooo many attractions packed in. The facility is large and no space was wasted. Certain attractions are instant-access (ex: slides) and others require safety equipment (ropes courses / ziplines).

All necessary safety equipment is provided (harnesses, helmets, gloves). The staff does a stellar job of getting you harnessed and tethered in.

The Tree Tops courses were my favorite. You do have to learn how to use the equipment to navigate your way through the course and operate the ziplines. Then, off you go sailing through the rafters.

It was raining during my visit, so due to weather, all outdoor portions were closed.

NON-PARTICIPANTS:
There are tons of tables on the 2nd & 3rd levels. You can watch participants below and above you from these areas. There are also massage chairs scattered throughout for a fee. I noticed some parents working on laptops while their children were off playing.

CAFE (2nd Level):
Orders can be placed at the counter or with a QR code from a table. Items are delivered to you.

I had a coffee, strawberry banana smoothie and pretzel (oh my gosh the sauce that came with it was so delish!). Coffee size was great for the price and refills are free. Smoothie was good. Pretzel was my favorite.

I watched other food coming out of the kitchen - everything looked really good. I'd definitely eat here again.

LOCKERS:
There are a bay of lockers to rent on level one. The attractions that don't allow cell phones / loose articles have small tables and complimentary "lockers (unlocked cubbies with doors) in the gated-off attraction space.

STAFF:
The staff here is really phenomenal. They are soooo helpful - literally going out of their way to assist you in any way.

OVERALL:
I had a GREAT time. Did a lot of the attractions and enjoyed them all. Loved the couches by the large windows to enjoy some peace while I ate. Music was great. Will absolutely go back. I'd love to see some sort of rewards program or weekday / local resident discount.

We had something like endless fun there! My daughter and I are kind of rope climbing masters, and we thought we would go through all the courses several times! But to our surprise, we took hours to climb all the outdoor walls, and eventually got so tired that we were slipping off the indoor city walls despite our eagerness to finish climbing all of them! ( We both finished the easy one once šŸ˜‰ ) Then we ended up chasing each other through underground tunnels and sliding the tall slide. But of course we left a lot to do there, so we would wish to go back if we lived in the same city!! Happy Dallas residents who can go there and get exhausted over and over again! Pleasant perfect exercise.

Being knee pads lol for crawling and rope climbing. This place is great for all ages. Gotta be a little fit. For the underground tunnels my 16 yr old 6'4" nephew crawled around in there with me. I'm 5'10 & 43 yo. Not fit but lengthy i guess. Mostly 3 foot spaces to crawl. The slides and climbing and harnessed activities are super fun too. Definitely recommend.
