It’s a great center but they cater to the retired & unemployed. If you’re working, you have to take off to get food. If you’re needing survival center food, taking off is either impossible or a huge cut in low-income. So for those who can go mid weekday in a 3.5 hr window of time, it serves well. Amherst has the best hours with 2 weekdays open till 7pm. Nhampton has a day each week open till 6 pm for working people. If you have need and work in franklin cnty, you don't get help, & it just feels like TF isn't really trying. May systemic negligence be adjusted.

Located on Fourth Street, right next to the Second Street Bakery in the heart of downtown Turners Falls. The store is staffed by some very earthy and soulful people. The staff is friendly, earthy and warm. Upon entering you will be greeted with a welcome smile from the gorgeous Denyse or from one of the beautiful ladies.

There are two aspects to this business. One part is a recyclable discount store and the other is a Foodbank for the community. This is a great place to donate your items. Also a good place to serendipitously explore and find interesting items on the cheap.

A favorite stop for me when I visit Turners Falls. The personel at the checkout counter have always been personable and helpful. I visit at Christmas time especially, as there is a nice selection of small holiday items.

This place is amazing. Not only do they have a food pantry that helps local families in need but they have an awesome consignment shop. My favorite part about the shop is that they do not price things by labels. For example shirts are priced at a certain price, it does not matter whether it is Ralph Lauren or old glory. I highly recommend this place and also the money they get from selling the items is what they use to fund their food pantry.

Privately owned non-profit thrift store funds the attached food pantry. Dedicated staff who really put their hearts into their work. Thrift store is small with limited inventory, but items sold are flawless, particularly the clothes. Nothing threadbare or damaged, as is the case in many thrift stores. The store is clean. Prices are 50% (or more) lower than other area thrift shops, making practical items available to those who need them. The food pantry offers generous monthly allotments to people in need, as well as bread and other foods daily.
