Beautiful spot on the harbor. There are ruins of the old fort in one section of the park. Further down there are restrooms, a beach, playground and picnic area. The beach is very Shelly/rocky with a lot of seaweed in the water. There are some beautiful sand dunes with beach grass. There’s even a beach access ramp for those needing mod illy assistance to the beach/water. Lots of parking both at the fort and by the beach area. You can watch the boats coming and going from the harbor.

Interested place of history. Very well kept. Nice walk way on the dike to walk and take in the sights. Plenty of benches to sit in to watch nature and the boats.

This park is a hidden gem. It has a guarded beach, tennis, basketball, and pickleball courts, picnic area, a Revolutionary War era fort, plenty of free parking and more. Walk the hurricane barrier and enjoy the views of Buzzards Bay.

I very much enjoyed walking around this reservation. It’s not too big but great for people to relax with a book, play tennis or walk their dogs.

What a beautiful place to go for a walk and get to feel history as you stand behind a cannon and imagine what it was like way back in the olden days!!! My best friend's dad Luis Hannigan was the caretaker up until he passed away 😭 myself and my best friend that has also passed James Hannigan would always go see his dad patrolling and taking care of the grounds. So, this place has a huge meaning of memories of my beloved best people that I've ever had the privilege to know on this earth 🌎 Lewis would always want to sit and say a little prayer 🙏🏼 with us ❤️❤️❤️! They will always be remembered especially when I come to visit which is very often. Thank you guys for what you do. People like me. Appreciate it ! When I was a little kid my dad used to take me here also so now I bring my child so that I can pass it along !

Did the polar plunge this year. What a nice little beach area! Great parking and gazebo area. Plus, real bathrooms! I'll be back in the warmer months!

This site has great views great walkways can go up and down the beaches can stay here and fish it can also sit next to the real cans that used to be used in 1828. This fort was built before the civil war and was used for harbor defense it was destroyed by the British in 1778 and was later rebuilt to enjoy and remember where we were as a nation. Kids love the beach and the rocks that you can sit by or climb.
