We found that the Florida Caverns Tours and Gift Shop was a good place to start enjoying the park. The staff were friendly and helpful. The building was built be the Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) in the 1930’s. The stone was hand-quarried from the cavern. The caverns are beautiful! The rooms are not as large as taller caverns in other states, but there are more formations than in other caverns I have visited. The view is up close and personal. Our tour guide, Jules, was very knowledgeable about the caverns. Definitely put these caverns on your Florida bucket list!

I thought the gift shop was not as good as most Florida state parks I've been to. The caverns were awesome. The tour is about an hour long.
Only place in Florida with this view.

Wonderful guided tour in the caverns. Such an unexpected and unique experience to discover in Florida. Also, great way to cool off a bit on a warm day as caverns stay cool year round. So much fun!

It was so amazing to see the caverns! We did the flashlight tour and our tour guide did an amazing job at explaining all the different rocks and formations. This was a trip for a little getaway and worth every penny. We are already planning on going back. FYI we went and they did have flooded areas so be prepared to get wet, bring an extra change of shoes and wear clothes that tend to dry fast!

We took a 1pm cavern tour. On the website, they said the tour is 1pm and 2pm. The 1:00 pm tour starts at 12:30. And we met the next tour in the cavern at 1:17pm. So just come early if you want to do the tour.
The tour itself was ok, with great information. Many cool places for pictures, kids must love it.
