My husband and I recently got married at Fern Hill Barn on October 26, 2024, and we had an amazing experience. The venue's magnificent setting exceeded our expectations. It was the most beautiful fall day, and the foliage was breathtaking. When we toured the venue with Allison we fell in love with the beautiful landscaping and the tents dance floor. We knew right away that it was the perfect place for us to get married. We booked the bridal suite to get ready in. It was a huge hit. The girls got ready on one side and the guys had the other. Kristen and her crew from the venues bridal spa exceeded all expectations for hair and make-up. I cannot say enough about how much we appreciated JoAnn the banquet captain. She was amazing, always right by our side with a happy smile willing to help in any way. She was fast with absolutely everything, including a quick emergency bustle right before intros lol!! She and her staff were VERY attentive to every single detail- from the cocktail hour setup to the centerpiece’s setup and beyond. You can tell when someone loves what they do, JoAnn truly loves her job and is an amazing asset to Fern Hills team. The entire banquet crew was top-notch, they were friendly and attentive to my guests’ needs. The food was delicious, and the presentation was impressive. We received many compliments from our guests on the quality of the food, service and how there was never a long line at the bar. Overall, we highly recommend Fern Hill to future couples. The venue's pricing was reasonable, and the experience was well worth it.

I want to start by saying - The venue was beautiful and the staff was amazing. This was five stars. However, this review is mainly a warning in case this is common practice and was not just a “glitch” in the system. Three days before my wedding I received an email from the general manager for Wedgewood weddings who had done an audit on what we were charged. He stated we owed an additional $3,000 and that he was going to offer free lawn games as an apology for the mix up. Weather was showing rain for my wedding at that time and we had just paid $9,000 the week before for the final payment. This issue happened because we were shown an upgraded package that was a few hundred more than our original contract. We switched packages obviously thinking the difference was almost nothing since that’s what we were shown. It was incorrect. They left off the $1000 for the upgrade and the $2000 for our photographer. We would not have upgraded if we knew it was $3000 more and I don’t think it was tactful of the general manager to email three days before the event basically indicating they need it paid or the event wasn’t happening when they messed up. What we paid was the price on the last contract we agreed to. It added unnecessary stress to something that was already stressful and could have easily been avoided if the audit was done when changes could easily be made.

We were so pleased with our amazing experience at Zukas (/Fern Hill Barn)!!!!! Every member of the team was consistently working throughout the day to make things run smoothly and to help take any pressure or stress off us as the bride and groom. We experienced a very aggressive pop-up thunderstorm right as our outdoor ceremony was supposed to take place, and I have never seen a team take action like they did. Carly kept me posted on the forecast and when we made the call to move inside, the team was at attention, putting up the sides of the tent, moving florals, and keeping everything pristine for the tent ceremony. Joanne, our banquet captain, helped me with any and everything that day - from adjusting my veil and dress, to calming my nerves about the storm, and even making sure we had congratulatory drinks once we were married. I cannot thank everyone enough, and will surely be recommending this venue for years to come. All our guests were so pleased and so complimentary of the food, the cake, the friendliness of all staff, and the overall atmosphere. THANK YOU ZUKAS TEAM!!

We were there today for my friend’s wedding and we had such a great time! The food was impressive good! The meatballs were bomb!!! The staff is super nice and friendly. The house where the bride gets ready was really clean and organized. The view is wonderful and we were blessed enough to have a nice weather. I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. I am already married, but if you are thinking about getting married there, I’d highly recommend this place!

Zukas Hilltop Barn is a wonderful place for a wedding and we love photographing there! Everyone is so nice and fun to work with and it is gorgeous. The spectacular (almost 360 degree views) from the hill make for amazing sunset and nighttime photos! The on-site bridal suite is very convenient for getting ready. The interior is cozy and rustic and the tent always looks magical, especially when lit up at night. The grounds and gardens are beautiful in all seasons and the pond has the most iconic and cool frog fountain ever! Zukas Hilltop Barn is a tucked away and private yet convenient venue that is a hidden gem in Central, MA!

My husband and I were beyond thrilled with our experience at Zukas Hilltop Barn! We were impressed with Alyson from the start. She had a calm demeanor and was professional throughout the whole process. The grounds were gorgeous and the inside was beautiful! Although it ended up raining on our wedding day, Alyson and her team helped me stay calm, provided numerous umbrellas for me and the Wedding Party to stay dry and decorated the inside beautifully with Autumn touches. Several guests said to me they did not even realize it was supposed to be an outdoor ceremony because of how beautiful the ceremony decor was. Thank you Team Zukas!! -end of September Bride

When we visited Fern Hill Barn we knew right away that this was where we wanted to get married. The venue is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful facilities and breathtaking natural scenery. Alyson, Carly, and Kaitlin made the whole process of wedding planning smooth and enjoyable. We had never planned something like this and were very overwhelmed at first but they helped us every step of the way and made it super fun. We never felt even remotely pressured to go above our budget either as they always had helpful suggestions and ideas to keep us on track. They were excellent communicators as well and always responded promptly to any of our questions. On the day of our wedding, the entire Fern Hill team was incredible. Our banquet captain JoAnn was super nice and attentive and treated us incredibly well. The entire bar/wait staff was excellent as well. We got so many compliments from friends and family about their experience. Everybody raved about how beautiful the venue was and how good the food was. We really can’t recommend Fern Hill Barn enough, it was simply perfect in every way.

Came here for a wedding. The venue is beautiful, and they made the best of the space. Staff working the wedding were so kind, friendly, and polite. It was well decorated. They had a beautiful venue and had a small house for the wedding party to get ready. That area was well done and beautiful as well for photo ops.
Overall I'd highly recommend this venue.
