There isn't enough space to put good things about this place. It's definitely a must stay! They are so friendly and the whole place is just so clean. The Casitas are the best! Bill and Billy are absolutely awesome on the trails and the info about the park they give you is just great! This is our 2nd trip and definitely not out last bronco trip! Also they had a awesome thing going on with some guys with telescopes to look at stars and tell all about it! So interesting.

Our family stayed at Far Flung on our adventure to Big Bend and the surrounding areas. We found the cabins to be clean, comfortable, with all the needed amenities. The grounds are well kept, welcoming, the porch was big and shaded, and the pool/hot tub was awesome after a big day of exploring.

Our favorite experience at Far Flung by FAR was our half day canoe trip with Molly and Cole! They are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the flora, fauna, geography, legends, theories, and current ecological/social events that are shaping the park and the waterways. We were impressed by their fervor and generosity as they shared their knowledge enthusiastically and openly without lording over anyone. They were great with adults and kiddos alike and made for a wonderful day. I'd highly recommend a fun filled time with those two if you get a chance.

We recently visited Big Bend National Park but had never been to west Texas. We were unsure about the layout and where to stay (everything looks good on the internet). We totally lucked out with Far Flung — the location is excellent for accessing the park and close to gas, grocery, and restaurants! The individual casitas (cabins) were wonderful — cozy and clean — and the kitchenette allowed us to fix light breakfasts and snacks to save on eating out. The grounds, pool, and hot tub were really well kept and elevated the whole experience. We also took a half-day river float which was well-organized and fun. Our guides, Nick and Cory, attended to all ages in our group and provided wonderful history and stories about the area. We couldn’t recommend Far Flung enough - both for accommodations and tours.

We had the BEST time ever at Far Flung Outdoor Center over Spring Break! The Casitas were amazing and well exceeded our expectations for our family of two adults and two elementary aged kiddos. The casitas were so clean and very spacious with lots of room in the bathroom and kitchen areas as well. Our kids loved the hot tub and pool and all of the staff were incredibly helpful and kind. Our family especially loved the half day river float with Ziggy, Molly and Olivia. Our kids loved these river guides so much and are still talking about them! They were all excellent with children and kept them entertained with riddles and fun facts about Big Bend all while leading us safely down the calm Rio Grande. We can't wait to return to the Big Bend area and will definitely be staying at Far Flung when we come back! Thank you FFOC!

My family and I would like to thank the owners and staff of Far Flung. The room was nice and quaint and very roomy. The staff is so kind and helpful.

Our Jeep guide Lauren, was so awesome and gave us a 1st class tour of Big Bend and the history behind it.

I can't remember all of the guides for the canoe trip down on the Rio, but they were awesome as well.

My kids had a great time, and this will be a memorable Spring Break

Jessica and her team have done a truly outstanding job in "raising the bar" since they took over in 2023. It is now a super-slick operation. We were lucky to get one of the new cabins (6 months old). Service is exceptional, rooms are comfortable and adequately (though a tad sparsely) equipped. The river trip was OK although the drought means the flow rate was very low. Sadly the day may come when the canoe trips are a thing of the past. However, we shall be back at Far Flung for sure.

The Far Flung Outdoor Center experience in Big Bend is top notch! Our family of four with two kids under 10 thoroughly enjoyed the full day float. The guides were super pleasant and knowledgeable about the area! We were so happy that we chose to spend the full day with them instead of doing a half day. By the end of the trip, we were steering like pros and enjoying the beautiful canyon walls and surrounding scenery.

We truly enjoyed our stay so much. The cabin was perfect sized. All the fun things around the property just were an added bonus (bocce ball, hammock, pool, fire pit, and more). The property was clean and clearly well taken care of. Everyone was so kind. Cole and Molly took us on a great canoe trip. They were fun and very knowledgeable about the area. We plan to come back!
