Faith Lutheran Lake Forest is a very caring church, with active church members reaching out to others and to neighboring communities. It's the type of church that you can feel comfortable coming just as you are, and feel accepted. They make you feel like family. You can feel the peace of the Holy Spirit that is alive and well in this congregation. It's growing! Everyone works well together to bring glory to God.

For a small size church, there is a lot of outreach to serve neighboring communities, such as North Chicago, IL, the navy base, and our community first responders.

There is also a very active Prayer Cares team that accepts prayer requests, from all over the country, via an app. The pastor personally follows up with each member on the team. Faith Lutheran is serious about being a house of Prayer.

Faith is a blessing to be at. The staff is very supportive. Pastor Jim is truly a blessing to have and you can tell he truly cares and believes in the true word of God. Faith does amazing job with community support. They have many opportunities for supporting the youth’s growth in equipping them with Faith based teaching. My 3 girls enjoy going to Sunday School and My oldest enjoys youth group Wednesday nights and participating in the fun youth events. Faith has been our forever home for Glorying God in the highest!!

Faith Lutheran provides sound biblical teaching and has many opportunities to serve, which include comfort dog ministry, children's ministry, choir, handbells and outreach to other communities to name a few. Staff is friendly and helpful. The prayer ministry has been incredibly comforting to me.

The people at Faith Get IT! Church is not a place we go to every week. Church is not just a building, Church is what we are and that understanding makes all the difference. The family of Faith worship together, serve together both in our local community and the world, and share fun times together as well. We support our local community through food drives and Thanksgiving food donations, care Christmas packages for the Military and toys for children are annual evangelism projects. And I cant forget our Golf League where men, women, and youth play side by side and have the opportunity to bond. Youth group activities include social get togethers and Bible Studies. The Women of Faith work together on projects for missions and currently socialize using ZOOM. Covid-19 has only strengthened the family at Faith, through Pastor Buckman's online daily devotions, online worship services, special Children services, and drive up communion. The family members at Faith have pulled together to continue spreading the Good News that Jesus is our Savior and Redeemer. Faith is not a church made up of perfect people. It's a church made up of people, a Family, who have been forgiven by Grace through the Blood and Body of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are not afraid to be real and love others unconditionally with the love of Jesus.
