Janette is an amazing wedding coordinator! We hired Janette for her day of coordination services, and a few months out we ended up adding florals (bouquets and boutonnieres), and then just a few weeks out we added table florals and some of her rental items. She was so responsive and helpful. The florals were BEAUTIFUL and just what I had hoped for. I couldn't recommend her enough for day of coordination.

We had our wedding coordinated by Janet at the end of August. If you are OK with her:

- Not showing up to the rehearsal (even though you told her verbally and in writing but she forgot, oops!)
- Insulting your loved ones on the day of your wedding (at least 4 people were offended by her actions and comments, which Janet admitted herself that “she was appalled at her own behavior”
-Leaving the venue without saying goodbye to you
- Leaving at 6pm after showing up at 3pm
-Asking for full payment despite all of the above!

then definitely hire her! These all happened to us and I’d be happy to share more detail if you are considering her services! We truly believe no one deserves to be treated like this on their special day and Janet just hides behind her vague terms and conditions to demand full payment even when she knows she did a horrible job!

Janette is incredibly kind and calming! We worked with her for a year up to our wedding and she provided great recommendations for vendors and an excellent check list to make sure we were on track. She and her whole team were excellent on the day of the wedding! Super affordable and helpful!

My wife & I have absolutely nothing but great things to say about Janette. Within minutes of our initial phone call with her, we felt so much more at ease with the wedding planning process, and she gave clear direction for what we needed to do and what she would do. We hired her for day-of services, which really ought to be called week-of, since she was totally responsive and supportive in the week or so leading up to the big day.

We believe that Janette was critical in making our wedding go as well as it did. Apart from the actual work she did, she gave us confidence that the work we were doing ourselves was worthwhile and timely. Anyone having a wedding in the Bay Area would do well to work with her, and I have already recommended her to some friends who are in the early wedding planning stages.

Her assistant Fabio, who was present only for the day of the wedding, also deserves some kudos. He was as attentive to our needs as Janette was, and was always present without getting in the way of our enjoyment of our wedding.

We highly recommend Janette for wedding planning and florals. We hired Janette as our month-of planner and to do the florals and decor for the wedding, and she was amazing to work with. We were really impressed with her organization, attention to detail, and creativity.

For the florals and decor, we first answered some questions around the vision we had for our wedding day, and Janette quickly put together a full proposal. We chose the California Academy of Sciences as our venue, and were using various spaces within it. We had a general idea of the look we wanted, but we hadn’t thought too much about details – Janette filled in all these gaps with several great ideas that we were able to choose from. Our florals were absolutely beautiful, from the chuppah (Janette had various chuppah options) to the bouquets to the dinner table. Our dinner was in an animal-focused hall, so Janette came up with the idea to use small animal magnets for holding up our name cards that guests could then take home as a small gift. She even hand-painted the animals herself. At least half of our guests commented on how much they loved these, and we definitely wouldn’t have thought of it ourselves.

For the planning, Janette helped put together a timeline for us, get all vendors on the same page, and helped us organize a walk-through with everyone to make sure we were aligned for the big day. The week of the wedding, Janette made sure everything was in place and went with our family to the venue to walk through the ceremony. On the day of the wedding, everything ran perfectly smoothly. Janette and her team took care of all the coordination, and made sure we mainly kept to our planned timing for the day without it feeling invasive at all. We honestly didn’t have to worry about a single thing, and we were able to fully relax and enjoy the day. It was truly an amazing day, and we could not have imagined it being any better – a lot of that is thanks to Janette!

Events by the Bay also had great pricing for both planning and florals. Janette was really responsive to our emails and texts, and helped keep us on track for tasks leading up to the wedding. She is also very experienced, and knew exactly what to do to make sure everything looked amazing and ran smoothly. Overall, Janette made the wedding planning process so much easier and more enjoyable!

We hired Janette for month-out wedding coordination. Although she is a perfectly nice person, her unprofessionalism, poor communication and lack of experience was a ultimately dealbreaker for us.

First and foremost, Janette went out of town and was completely unavailable for first week of the “month out” coordination period that we paid for, without informing us in advance.

We also sent multiple emails asking for recommendations and referrals that got no response.

Additionally, she missed important details - at one point we asked her to schedule a tour of the venue and she got the time wrong, forcing us to reschedule other obligations.

She also didn’t ask questions that helped us identify what we needed to be doing. We were looking for someone to reduce our stress by asking the right questions and bringing their expertise, but we found ourselves more stressed and confused after our calls.

We ended up cancelling with her and working with someone else. Despite only working with Janette for a little over a week (during most of which she was on vacation), and having an off season weekday wedding, she kept our sizable deposit.
