E-Star Asian Buffet - Houston, Texas

I recently visited E-Star Buffet, and I was pleasantly surprised. The place is exceptionally clean for a buffet, which isn’t always common. They maintain it well, making it feel more like a proper restaurant than a typical buffet. The food quality is excellent, with a variety of options, including fresh sushi. However, the customer service could use some improvement. The employees, especially those at the front desk, weren’t particularly friendly or welcoming, and I didn’t see many smiles. Overall, it’s a solid choice for quality food, but the staff could be a bit warmer.

New buffet restaurant. Attentive waitstaff. Beautiful interior and atmosphere. Huge selection of delicious food, chicken, beef, shrimp, fresh fruit and vegetables, steamed clams, crawfish. All very yummy.

Well I’m in Houston on business and was looking for something simple and quick and found this place, it was clean and nice inside very well kept and clean, the buffet had so much to offer from seafood, sushi’s to pizza and other food, lots of choices with some of my favorites like Kung Po Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Lo Mein. If you’re vegetarian, you can get a vegetarian meal, if you have young kids who like pizza and stuff they also have soft serve ice cream, and plenty of dessert choices, My only complaint I have would be the food didn’t seem very warm and it was kind of funny because there was a health food inspector there taking the temperatures, and that was kind of his take was the food needed to be hotter. But if you like buffets and you like Chinese food this place Decent stop, I’m not really big into buffets just because of the whole germ thing but that’s a Personal thing. The service was great and overall excellent experience.

I've been here twice and neither time was I very impressed, today the food was very cold. We went at 1130, so I'm assuming the leftover food from yesterday hadn't been completely warmed yet because almost everything I tried was cold and unsatisfying. I don't think I'll ever be back, although the price is very good today's experience was a complete turn-off.

The waiter was ok, but my water ran out, and he never came back for a refill.

Really loved the good hot food but it was very busy and a few of the foods not most people like or don't want at a Chinese restaurant were room temperature. That was the cat fish and calamari that I normally like to eat and try. The other meats were really amazing and that had something for everyone. The general tso's was one of the spicier I've had and it was awesome. They have soft serve which is another thing we really like so overall one of the best Chinese places around that I've taken the family to.

Amazing buffet that is clean and fully stocked. I was very impressed and can say that E-Star is the best Asian buffet that I’ve been to. Googled Asian buffet and I liked the requires/pictures. Even though we were a ways away, it was worth the drive!

I also noticed that there was a full bar and hot tea service. I haven’t seen a bar offered at an Asian buffet before. And judging by the steady flow of customers, others enjoy E-Star, too. Will be back again when in HTX.

Location: Great & easy to get to
Parking: Ample and well - lit
Atmosphere: Beautiful, reminded us of places we'd eat in Las Vegas, Beautiful, Clean, not overly flashy.
Buffet: OUTSTANDING!! You enter and pay the server at the end. The buffet is laid out beautifully and it is OH SO YUMMY! Can't wait to go back (Must try the soups, Look at the SIZE of the dumplings floating in that batch of luscious soup)! Everything was tasty, hot, and Fresh! There is even ice cream included with the desserts!
Sushi is available for those who like it. One of my faves was the mushrooms - OOOOH, Mushrooms!
