I cannot say enough good things about the Essex Club (formerly Brentwood Country Club). The Essex club is an extremely affordable option compared to most places on Long Island. Living in Suffolk County, this is one of the few venues around that give off ballroom/ country club vibes. I had a bit of sticker shock when first getting quotes from venues and started to re think the whole having a big wedding thing, and then I came across the Essex Club. They have a great package and they are a Lessing’s venue. Not only was I able to get a great package, but because my wedding was the second week of November, I was able to get winter pricing compared to fall. This allowed me to book a Saturday night wedding without needing an insane minimum. Jessica at Essex club is truly amazing, and makes your day flawless with her attention to detail. I had a minor mishap with a different vendor day of the wedding and Jessica called them herself and had them fix it within 20 minutes, no questions asked. Because they only do one wedding at a time, their main focus is you all day and you are able to come to the venue 2 hours prior to your cocktail hour ( so no need for another place to take pictures). The food was amazing, and we got so many compliments. We had a very intimate wedding of about 100 people and the 10 tables of 10 was honestly the perfect fit. We got so many compliments on our choice of venue. The Essex Club is truly a hidden gem with a staff that makes you feel like part of the family.

I am absolutely speechless. It was an absolute pleasure having the opportunity to work with the Essex club. The staff was incredible, friendly and this venue truly brought my wedding vision to life. Jessica, The coordinator was awesome Anna the bridal attendant was awesome, Rob the matre'd was awesome!!!! Everyone was absolutely incredible. The food was amazing. We couldn't get enough compliments on how tasty the food was and how amazing and friendly the staff was. The ambience of the venue was absolutely incredible , I am truly left speechless after working with the Essex club!! 10 out of 10 I definitely recommend having every party and event hosted with the Essex club. I promise you will not be disappointed and I will definitely be returning!

We went to a wedding reception here this weekend, everything was truly fabulous. Beautiful decor, lovely staff (greeted at the door with champagne, servers were all super polite & attentive), and delicious food, from the pre-seating appetizers to the tender and perfectly cooked main courses with scrumptious flavors, we were very impressed as guests. We had our wedding here at the end of April and everyone at the Essex club was incredible. The day of the wedding went more smoothly than I ever could have imagined. I am a very minimalistic person with weddings so I barely planned and despite that, the Essex Club left me with nothing to worry about. No rehearsal dinner was the norm. They told us where to go, when and where to stand, checked in on us constantly, the bridal assistant was so sweet. Rob the maitre’d was incredible, kind.

It is just an incredibly well oiled machine. They have so much experience. One of our guests said the salmon was the best he ever had. They made sure we ate. They set up all the decorations then when the night was over we went to collect our chair bows from outside but everything was already waiting by the door for us to take home.

I highly recommend if you are thinking about having your wedding here. They leave nothing for you to worry about. Jessica was also very responsive throughout and answered all of our many questions with patience.

Nothing beats the essex club! From the beginning to the end Jessica was almost like an angel from above! Any questions no matter how stupid or how silly she always responded! Rob was amazing and Jancey was literally an angel! I would get married again just to have it there and will definitely be having my baby shower there! We love you all!!!

We cannot recommend this venue enough. Start to finish was such a great experience for us! We got many comments from guests about how delicious the food was and the staff was incredible. They were accommodating, helpful and kind. They truly were there to make sure we had the best day possible. The vendors included in their all inclusive package were excellent to work with as well. The day went smooth and was flawless and we truly can’t thank the Essex Club enough for making the best night of our lives possible! They set up and took down all of our decor which was HUGE, it’s not something the bride, groom or family wants to do after celebrating all night. Jessica was also fantastic- she answered all of my questions (believe me, I had a ton) and was so helpful during the planning process. I never had the “stressed bride” experience and it was definitely because of her help and expertise! She made sure I was prepared for everything at our final details meeting and was so helpful. We’re so sad that it’s over but happy to say that if we had to rewind and do it all over again, we wouldn’t regret choosing the Essex Club for a single second

There are no real words to express how much this venue really impressed me we have done a few events with them before and they have always delivered but when we decided to hold our wedding we really got to see how incredible they really were Jessica Robert and Jansi where absolutely perfect, kind, attentive, it feels like in many ways they became a part of our family and we truly couldn’t be more grateful for everything they have done for us the food was incredible best i have ever had. All the staff was very friendly and appreciative. This is really the only stop for events and weddings

We have been frequenting The Essex Club for the last several years. We run small gatherings for our friends on a yearly basis. The thought of having our wedding there had always seemed an unattainable goal in our minds until Robert came to us with everything we'd need to get that done. We were blown away at the deals that were offered, and overnight what had become a distant dream of getting married became something actually obtainable due to the very fair prices and arrangements that the Essex club offered. They were with us every step of the way all the way from hiring the photographer, hiring the florist, hiring the bakery, and even hiring the DJ. They even hosted open nights to try out the various appetizers and food choices that were available to us!

From day one, this venue has always had our best interests in mind. It's why we've been coming back to them for years. They aren't just looking to get the maximum amount of money from you, and it's refreshing in this day and age to find a venue that not only cares that your event goes off without a hitch, but really makes you feel like you're valued members of their family.

Robert and the rest of the staff of this venue stand head and shoulders above any other venue for this quality. If we could get married twice, we'd do it here a second time. EVERYONE told us that something goes wrong on the wedding day. Not ours. Essex Club was perfect. Flawless even. The food was also incredible and they went out of their way to accommodate us if we needed to make any changes or substitutions.

If you're looking for a venue, give this place a visit. We made memories at this venue that will be with us for the rest of our lives, and we hope that you can make memories like ours too.

We got married here 11/19/22 and LOVED the Essex Club. Jessica was so amazing and easy to work with and she really made my vision come to life. The venue doesn’t look like much when you visit but it really transforms into such a beautiful place to celebrate. It’s definitely one of the more affordable venues on LI but nothing about it seems or looks cheap. The food was AMAZING. Everyone raved about it. The day ran totally smoothly. Jessica used extra florals they had around that matched our colors to make the place even more beautiful. You will absolutely not regrets having your wedding here. It was the best day of our lives. I could talk about how amazing it was for days.
