An Amazing Experience with DJ Emelita
We cannot recommend DJ Emelita enough for making our wedding reception truly unforgettable! From the perfect playlist to the fantastic photo booth, everything was handled with such care and attention to detail.
DJ Emelita took the time to understand the vibe we wanted for our reception and curated a playlist that had everyone on the dance floor all night long. The music was absolutely spot-on and so many of our guests couldn't stop complimenting her music. We are still getting these compliments a couple weeks later. It was the perfect mix of songs that kept the energy high while also creating those special moments throughout the night. She specifically had a great anniversary dance game..
In addition to the music, the photo booth was a huge hit with our guests. It added such a fun and interactive element to the evening, and everyone loved having a keepsake from the celebration. We had so many great pictures and keepsakes for our guests.
What really stood out to us was DJ Emelita’s attention to detail and professionalism. From our first meeting to the last song played, she made sure everything was seamless, and we felt completely confident in her hands.

She was incredibly patient and unblinking with all of our specific requests—like making sure to cue a song right at the 00:57 mark as we kissed at the end of our ceremony. The Entertainment Specialists team understands how to match event hosts with the perfect DJ for their event! When we first reached out, we chatted with AK about all the different DJs they work with and she helped us narrow down the list to a few who seemed promising. After a few interviews, we decided to work with DJ Steve Fortes who is incredible!!! We had multiple cultures represented in our friends and family and DJ Steve found a way to make everyone feel seen. When parent dances ended and the dance floor opened at our wedding, everybody ran to the dance floor and it stayed packed for the whole night. Every time a new song would come on, guests would cheer or get excited because Steve always picked exactly the right song for each moment. At one point, we had guests who were planning to go home because they had a long drive and they turned around and ran back into the reception space because of a song Steve started playing. In addition to being talented, Steve was kind, funny, and committed to communicating and collaborating with us through the whole process. In the weeks that have followed, guests of all ages and backgrounds have approached us saying how great Steve was.

We hired Martika from Entertainment Specialists to DJ our wedding, and she was an absolute hit! She was so awesome to work with throughout the planning process, she made it so simple to plan the music we wanted throughout our ceremony and evening, she stuck to our must-play and don't-play lists, did all the photo shoutouts we requested, and even helped me plan a surprise song for my husband (which I sang and my dad played guitar for, so there was a lot of behind the scenes with Martika to pull it off and my husband was totally surprised!). Martika is a ball of energy day-of, she got everyone so pumped up for their entrances and she was the first person I saw as I walked into my ceremony and she flashed me a huge smile and made me feel so at ease!
