Heather and staff were great, this was a fantastic place to hold a wedding, the loft that is now available for the Bride and Bridesmaids to get ready was the best, they did a great job on it. Food was pricey but worth it. We had a blast

My husband and I had our wedding at Enterprise Mill and was catered by the Fat Man’s Cafe located next to the event room. Heather was amazing to work with and quickly responded to all of my many questions and concerns leading up to the big day. The venue was beautiful and everything went flawlessly. We did a day time indoor wedding followed by a luncheon and the food was delicious! I appreciate all of the hard work by the staff to make our day so special. I would definitely recommend Enterprise Mill and catering for any special occasion!

January 2024 wedding review.
Pros: beautiful venue alternative to a barn & Heather is extremely responsive.
Cons: 1-everything is a la carte
2-venue price does NOT include somewhere to get ready (you have to pay extra for the loft). The loft was very dirty.
3- they put an event time maximum of 4 hours from the start of the ceremony to the end of the reception
4- Cake attendant we paid for dos not stand at the cake station to cut and serve the cake. They take it to the back out of sight.
5- AC was off setting up for the wedding
6- they do not provide to go dishes. If you want to take any food home, you have to bring your own!!
1- Every single thing is an additional cost. The venue fee does NOT include the night before for you to rehearse. You’d have to pay to rent the event center for another day (at full price). Thankfully we used the covered gazebo so we rehearsed & went elsewhere for dinner.
2- you’re not provided somewhere to get ready the day of in the venue fee. You have to pay additionally for the loft apartment. The apartment has cute but dirty with cobwebs draping down in the corners. There’s no additional blankets. The smell of weed was SO strong. Not worth the price you pay for it.
3- when signing our contract, Heather skimmed and “highlighted” what was on the page EXCEPT the most important detail. There is a 4 HOUR event time max meaning if the ceremony starts at 4:30 then your reception must end at 8:30… WHAT?!? She did explain it’s a 12 hour rental period and the last hour is for cleanup. I thought the reception could be as long as I wanted as long as it was within the 12 hours. Not at all. I would never have booked here if that detail was explained.
I complained about it once it was brought to my attention & Heather did give us 30 mins additionally for free. To extend the time 1 hour is $550!!!
4- the cake attendant you pay for does not stand at the cake station to cut/serve the cake. They take it to the back out of sight & cut it with no way to see how much of the cake is really being served. Numerous guests brought that to our attention.
5- while setting up the day of the wedding, the air was off and everyone was sweating. When we called about it, we were told “it’s a 200 yr old building”….? Okay? Then 30 seconds later it miraculously came on.
6- if you want to take any leftover food, BRING YOUR OWN TUPPERWARE! They don’t mention this either and just assume you know.
With the exception of the event time and the other missed details, Heather was great to work with! She’s prompt at responding to emails and try to make things right.

EDITED Editing my review because Brad and Hav, the owners, made it right. My daughter still wanted to view the facility the weekend that we had origanially planned and Brad was able to meet with us. Brad was courteous and apologetic for the confusion. Thank you again, Brad and Hav.

Rated a 2 because phone calls go unanswered, parking is confusing, and our experience with customer service was terrible. My daughter scheduled an appointment for a Saturday afternoon to view the event center for her wedding and confirmed by email. When we showed up, there was no answer to my daughter’s phone call when we couldn’t find where we needed to be. After walking around the whole Mill, walking into 3 different events going on simultaneously, and finding the leasing office locked and lights off, we found someone in the museum who told us to go to security for help. Security couldn’t help other than calling the events coordinator…the same who had not answered any of our calls a few minutes earlier. The officer was able to get in touch with events coordinator who said she didn’t have an appointment for Saturday, that she only works M-F, and that my daughter’s name didn’t ring a bell. The events coordinator said we’d need to email to make an appointment. Needless to say, we won’t be making another appointment or booking a venue that is so inconsiderate of someone’s time.

Otherwise, the architecture is beautiful.

Enterprise Mill was the perfect venue for my daughter’s wedding and reception in April! We checked on several venues when starting to plan her wedding. She wasn’t interested in a barn venue and some places were way over our budget. She loved the historical charm offered by EM and the price was right!

Heather, EM’s event coordinator (not sure of exact title) was the absolute best to work with. Every email was responded to in a timely manner and all questions we asked were answered. She went above and beyond to work with us. She offered helpful suggestions when we had trouble making decisions, worked great with our vendors, was on sight when needed, and always pleasant. I actually sent her a text after it was all over and told her she was amazing to work with.

The loft apartment “bridal suite” was adorable and had everything we needed for the girls to hang out in and to get hair and makeup done. The guys had lots of room in the Starch room to eat lunch, hang out and get ready for the ceremony.

The reception was in the event center and the food was amazing. What would one expect? It’s Fat Man’s!! So many of the guests came up to me to say how good the food was. The wait staff and bartenders took great care of us.

My daughter’s words to me at the reception were, “Mom, it’s what I’ve always dreamed of.” That’s enough for me!

To preface my review, the wedding we held here was amazing due to the decor provided by the bride & groom, their own personal wedding coordinator, & an amazing band, all of which were organized by the couple. Even though our photos were shared on Enterprise Mill Events Instagram account implying that they had 'set the mood.' which is inaccurate advertising.

Pros - The building is a nice space for a wedding event.

Cons - Enterprise Mill Events were lacking in many areas!
In particular, professionalism & staffing.

Heather Bowen (Events Planner) was invisible throughout the entire process. She was not present at the Rehearsal Dinner (RD) or Wedding Day (WD). Initially she gave the Bride's parents an outdated menu with incorrect pricing, for them to be told on deciding the menu, that all the prices needed to be adjusted. She did respond to emails in a timely manner.

The reason we also held the RD at the Mill was because Heather promised us that we would be able to set up the WD decor following the dinner. Only to be informed, by text, during the rehearsal that the WD event space was locked, & that this would not be possible! This understandably, caused a lot of added stress for the couple! The RD food was not well presented & was mediocre. It definitely was not representative of how it appears on the company website.

There did not appear to be a lead person in charge of managing the staff at either event. Almost all of the staff were disinterested, neither welcoming, or service oriented. The bar staff on the WD were not professional in manner or appearance. They were not dressed in black button down shirts as shown on the company website but were in 'Fatmans' polo shirts. Many of our guests commented on their poor attitude. The staff seemed more focused on removing the food & clearing up as soon as possible, rather than providing an amazing WD service to their guests.

The fact that plastic glassware is the default used by the company, considering the cost of the event, is poor, & also not sustainable. Also being charged per tablecloth used is ridiculous, at least they should have been provided.

The area between the WD event space & the restrooms was untidy & used as a storage area. The loft apartment used for the bridal party to get ready, & for the honeymoon night, was cold, not clean (the skylight was filthy), & lacking extra blankets.

In conclusion - Heather Bowen did not follow up after either event to check if everything went satisfactorily.

I did reach out to the company owner, Mr Havird Usry, (at the number he provided on a previous review) to provide direct feedback but he did not respond. Therefore, I chose to provide this review to ensure others considering using this company would be aware of the pros & cons. I would NOT recommend them to do so.
