We took the drive down the Enchanted Highway to see the very large sculptures along the highway and into the very small town of Regent, ND. We decided to stay over night here which turned out to be quite a treat. The owner put us in room 107. This room has a full kitchen as well as a wonderful bed. Since there is not much in Regent, (POP. 107) we ate at the in house restaurant and shared a wonderful meal. We sat with another couple and shared stories of them and ourselves. The owner, Gary Greff was also the waiter. It turns out that he also did the sculptures along the highway and would likely to do more. He was able to buy this school and convert it to a medieval motel. Quite a storyteller if you take the time.

The castle is a cool look which needs a bit of updating. Overall, they kept the place clean but it did not feel home like. Tourist are drawn into the end of the drive with only one place to eat or sleep.

They converted an old school house into hotel and thats about how cool it was. Felt like a museum.

I didnโ€™t spend the night at the Enchanted Castle Hotel, but I did drive through and go inside, and it was a really cool experience. The medieval-themed interior is unique and fun to see, definitely giving off a different vibe from your typical roadside stop. Plus, they have plenty of clean restrooms if you need a quick break. If you're traveling the Enchanted Highway, itโ€™s definitely worth checking out for the quirky atmosphere and the novelty of it all.

Made a reservation for a room with a hot tub over one month prior to arrival date. Confirmed reservation the night before check-in by phone. Upon arrival after a lengthy drive, the front desk attendant informed us our room had been given to someone else. They had no record in the computer of our reservation. The attendant said her records at home sometimes are different than their computer. WTH.. They wanted to charge the same amount for a regular room which we of course declined. Very disappointed with the establishments reservation service. So BEWARE.. even if you have a reservation and confirm it the night before you arrive, you still might not have a reservation or a room when you arrive!!!

Amazing story behind the motel. The rooms were immaculate & very spacious. Reasonably priced as well. The motel was the old high school of the area. Highly recommend driving the Enchanted Highway & staying one night at this motel. So clean! The bar was cozy & stocked well. The good was amazingly delicious - steak was cooked to perfection! Recommend staying & having dinner here 100%. So great to meet the Owner Gary to hear his amazing story of the metal sculptures & his Enchanted Motel. Loved it there! It is in the middle of nowhere but worth the stop

Great location at the end of the Enchanted Highway. Owner was extremely accommodating. Mattress was a bit uncomfortable, but the owner stated he ordered all new ones to be delivered next month. We had the jacuzzi room, which was perfect for two. Room was extremely clean. Didnโ€™t get a chance to eat in the tavern or Excaliber Steakhouse. Breakfast was typical Continental breakfast with cereal, toast, bagels and fresh fruit. Coffee was hot and delicious.

Rough around the edges but I loved it. I came here for my 21st birthday and the workers were very friendly. I even got a couple free drinks and a dessert on the house! We had a room with a hot tub which was very nice too.
