This was a highlight of our Gulfport trip for sure. We did an evening boat tour due to the heat and we were so glad we did that. Lighting was incredibly beautiful and there were lots of cool creatures and scenery to see once the heat of the day cooled down a bit!! Captain Kathy shared her knowledge of the area and pointed out lots and lots of things for us to see and photograph!!! We saw an alligator at the end of our tour…. Which was so awesome!!! Well worth the $$ spent!!! If we were going to be in the area longer, my husband would have tried the kayak swamp tour as well…

I highly recommend Eco Tours of Southern Mississippi.
This tour has been the absolute highlight of the trip for me. I’ve been wanting to do one for a while now and it did not disappoint! I could have stayed out there all day. Kathy took us through the Marsh, River and Swamp and was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. She allowed plenty of time for photos and just enjoying what was around you. If I ever get another chance to do one I’d like to try one in the evening. They also have Kayaking tours as well which I think would have been amazing!
I’d also like to give a shoutout to the locals who volunteer their own time, money and resources to keep the waterways clear of trash and debris. As Kathy put it you could almost feel like you were the first person to set eyes upon the area.

We called Eco Tours fairly last minute to book a tour. Kathy, an owner and tour guide, made arrangements to meet us for an afternoon boat ride that took us on the Pascagoula River, many bayous and swamps. She knew we were interested in birds and took time naming and describing the many varieties we saw, stopping so we had time to watch or snap photos. She also discussesd plant life, river history, and more. Certainly a nice afternoon.

Exceptional Tour. Guides had a deep knowledge of their habitat and couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. We learned a lot about the local habitat. Great value for the money and we strongly recommend using these folks.
