I stay in hotels for a living and was in town on work. I was happy with the price of the hotel and it was very clean and presentable. However, I normally drink water from Tap from time to time and want to fill up a cup from the sink. I always let the water run for a moment before filling up my cup. I took a sip and as I was looking into the cup there was all kinds of brown and black stuff floating around in the water. I have been here for two days since and the water is still non-potable with several floating items coming out of the sink. The water also has a very high sheen on it and does not look or taste right. I kindly made the hotel aware that their water was non-potable and should not be drank and they did not care at all or acknowledge. The elevator permit should not have passed inspection as the elevator has many issues but the biggest concern at this hotel is the nasty nasty water coming out of the faucets. The health department should be made aware and an inspection should be done on their pipes which are more than likely failing and need to be replaced. This was more than just a little bit of copper!

Not a bad place. Nice beds, quiet, and clean room. No bugs. Right across from a McDonalds only a 30 second walk. Only downsides were no breakfast (there was orange and apple juice, nothing else) and the window in the room lets a lot of sound in. Water was fine, I read another review that said it was not potable. You can hear the highway quite clearly.

I am one to never leave bad reviews, but I was so upset with what happened I felt I needed to. First, the good. The room was fine and had all of your basic amenities, and it wasn’t spotless by any means, but clean enough to be satisfactory. Now, the bad. I was DEVASTATED after I arrived and the lady at the front desk informed my partner and I that they overbooked the king suite with the jacuzzi tub at a discounted price, and that I could stay in the room, but not use the tub unless I wanted to pay an additional $150, after I pad $117 for the room. The entire reason I booked this hotel was for the jacuzzi tub for my partner and I to use, and we didn’t get to use it 🙁 It meant a lot to me, and made absolutely no sense to me about why we couldn’t use it. Additionally, a little baby salamander was half dead in the corner of the bathroom, and that made me sad. I ended up saving him, but still. I felt I shouldn’t have had to deal with that. That was minor in comparison to the jacuzzi tub. Very sad and dissatisfied with the experience.

The Room was clean, and the service was good. The location was good .
THE BED AND PILLOW WERE HORRIBLE.
I couldn't hardly sleep. I woke up with my back and hips killing me this doesn't normally happen .
Oh, and the cover kept slipping off they need something a little heavier for a cover .

If they change the mattress, it would be great

Econo Lodge was a pleasant stay. It was easy off I-24 and not too hard a trip to Rock City. The rooms (friends had the one next door #208) were clean, the king beds comfortable and good shower. The rooms seemed a bit small but had all we needed in working order. Don't expect breakfast unless you expect coffee. There is McD next door and Dollar General Market across the street. View from rooms 208/210 attached.

If your looking for a one night stay this is a option. The person who checked me in was very polite, provided wifi password, etc.

The place is definitely dated, and dingy. Is this the most clean place to stay, not really. Is it okay for a one night stay? Absolutely.

If your a frequent traveler you know to check the room out before getting settled in. I checked the bathroom for any issues, pulled back the sheets and checked for bed bugs, and made sure both locks worked on our door. Everything was good. The room was acceptably clean. The king size bed was great, not hard or soft, perfect in between feeling. The bathroom was bright and clean, extremely hot water, however the water pressure wasn't great.

The "worst" part was the elevator, on one trip up the elevator stopped, and started making a weird noise and shaking.😳 I told my partner "not today satan", and we opted to use the stairs for the rest of our trip.

Overall all, I would stay again.

Please LISTEN up...I never leave reviews, but felt forced to on this place. If I could leave negative stars I would! We just returned home after a two night stay. While the room was clean and accommodating, the "resort" is under extensive reconstruction. No problem, we are understanding people. We had two jam-packed days and returned to our room to sleep both nights. And not early by any means. Around midnight both nights, the construction directly above us started. The walls and ceilings in this place must be paper thin...but I don't think it would have mattered. It was as loud as you could get. We were both kept awake all night both nights. To the point of considering leaving at 3:30 a.m.! We called the manager who agreed to put a stop to it, but it continued through the night. We talked with Chris who agreed to refund our charges, that is how bad things were. When I had not received an email confirmation of the refund, I tried calling back only to find my number had been blocked. I called this morning from my office, Chris answered and rudely told me he had no intention of refunding a thing. He then hung up on me. This was the most horrible hotel experience we've ever had and we travel a LOT. DO NOT STAY HERE!! I cannot repeat that enough!

My family and I were on our way home to Florida from Illinois, and we decided to stop here for the night after driving for 10 hours that day. We went to check in around 2 am, the person checking me in told me he had canceled my reservation because the card on file didn’t charge when they tried it hours before I checked in. He then magically “found” my reservation still booked. He also told me he was charging an additional $20 because I mistakenly put 2 adults instead of 4, even though the room sleeps 4 people anyways… he then told me that my card had declined again, and yelled at me that I had to leave. After telling him I had plenty of money in my account, so I felt like it was an issue with the card reader he allowed me to try the card again while continuing to yell at me… which my card went through just fine… he then made me do my card AGAIN so he could charge the additional $20… and then slammed the keys down and started yelling again but I walked out and ignored him.

The only reason we stayed was because it was 2am, we had been driving for 10 hours that day, and we were, thankfully, only staying for the night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. They staff we had to deal with was rude and honestly mean. The beds were meh, at best, and the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in 2 weeks.
