BEST.GIFT.EVER!!! I have been wanting to get open water certified for years. Then, I was gifted the course!!! It was an amazing experience from start to finish.

The staff at the dive shop were insanely helpful and direct about what gear options to choose based on preferences. (You have to purchase your own Fins, boots, mask, snorkel, gloves) They even have discounts for their students, its great!

During the 2 weekend course; each weekend consisted of 1 pool day and 1 ocean day!

We got super lucky by having Jake as our instructor for both weekends!!! He's calm, supportive, encouraging, knowledgeable, and has an abosulte love for the sport! He was clear in explaining exactly what we were about to do and answered all our crazy questions with ease!

Our first weekend was off the boat at 3 spots around Catalina Island, the following weekend we got to dive off from the island at the catalina casino.

I will 1000% be continuing by diving journey through this facility! Advance Open Water, here I Come!!!

Unique birthday party !!!
For my son’s 12th birthday we had booked the scuba experience for our group. It turned out to be the best party ever and an experience never to forget. None of the friends had any scuba experience before and our instructor (Kendra) was amazing in guiding everyone on how to breathe under water. It was AMAZING!!!!

I had a very good experience with Eco Dive. I had a short time to complete my certification due to weather and other conflicts, but they were really flexible to make it happen. Nico was an awesome instructor! Very patient, knowledgeable and informative. I had some trouble maintaining my buoyancy, but he helped me with it and other skills. Super chill and fun group. Helpful staff at the shop too. Heads up that the one weekend program only gets you certified to dive with a licensed instructor/guide. You need two weekends to get the Open Water certification. Would definitely recommend Eco Dive!

I took the Advanced Diver Course with JAKE on Mother's Day weekend and can honestly say it was an amazing experience that leveled up my scuba skills. From his knowledge of diving to his deep understanding of the gear, I have never been more confident in my ability to dive deeper, with better buoyancy, all with the peace of mind knowing I can navigate at depth and avoid bigger issues. I had an amazing weekend throughout this course, and even met some new lifelong friends. Jake's commitment to fostering a dive community as well as his focus on upskilling divers makes makes this course with Jake and Eco Dive Center a must for any serious divers.

I absolutely love this dive shop. I got my open water and advanced open water certifications through here. All of the instructors are awesome and I felt very prepared with my diving education from them. The staff at the store is friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. They also run the Coastal Cleanup in Santa Monica every year. I’ve done 3 years with them so far. They host a monthly dive night with guest speakers and have raffles and free tacos! I love the community I found here!

Madison was an incredible scuba diving instructor! From the very beginning, she made us feel safe and confident in the water. She emphasized proper technique and always ensured we used a rope to assist with our descents, which helped us feel more secure as beginners. Madison’s calm and clear instruction made a big difference, and she kept every lesson engaging and fun. Highly recommend!

Ron was an amazing instructor! Incredibly thorough and really patient with the group. Not only did he teach us the theory behind each skill, but he gave us his first hand experience why each skill was important. I really appreciated how he took a group of total strangers and got us all to work together as a cohesive team.
