WARNING:This is for anyone who wants to rent this facility for an occasion. Especially for a wedding. My daughter rented this facility for her wedding and what sold them to this particular place was the view. DO NOT let the view be the reason you rent this place. Believe me there are plenty of places on the beach with a beautiful view. There is much more to consider and I hope this review helps that decision. Anyone that had anything to do with getting this facility ready for us failed tremendously. We will begin by the lack of communication with Ashley who is the event coordinator to the idiot of the kitchen manager to the manager of the facility all the way up to the CEO Charlie. Ashley told us we can get in facility at 8:00 a.m (day of wedding) to decorate. That was a disaster. Tables were not setup like
Promised. They did not clean the dance floor. They did not run the sweeper (which they said they did). Food dishes were still in the ballroom from party the night before. Windows weren’t cleaned. Tables were supposed to be setup on the balcony and that wasn’t done either. Arch for ceremony was not even out of storage yet and the list goes on and on. The place was filthy and so dated!! The kitchen off of the ballroom was so dirty that it looks as though it hasn’t been cleaned since the holiday inn first opened. I don’t know how on earth it passes inspection. Truly!! I told the kitchen manager that it was filthy and all he did was throw his hands up in the air and say “o well”. Really that’s all he can say!!! We had no bartender!! We added a pasta bar to our Buffett and were supposed to get three different toppings to go with pasta and we didn’t get any of them. All the food was cold and awful. There are way to many things to add to this review but I hope I got you all to really stay clear of this venue. Nothing good came out of this fiasco. They reimbursed my daughter $1,000.00 which took care of the deposit. They should have paid us for our time that we put in cleaning and setting up the place ourselves. I want to add that we had people from out of town stay at this hotel and found bugs in the room and the response they got from the staff was “they are not bedbugs they are termites” like that is supposed to make it better. My daughter wrote to the CEO but of course no response. BTW the wedding was mid June of this year and I am sure that the place still looks like a dump!! There really is a lot more that took place but to much to write. I really really hope this helped you all that are considering this venue to NOT book this place!! IT IS AWFUL
