Nicole and Ashley planned the most AMAZING Halloween party that was the perfect amount of scary fun!!! The drinks looked like witches brew and they hired live actors to scare guests throughout the night. It was a night to remember! The host didn’t want the inside of her main house shown so they built a tunnel walkway that was nothing short of a creative way to hide the main house as guests walked through. Ashley and Nicole made sure throughout the night that everything was perfect including surprise dance performers. If you say you want nothing but the best, look no further!! Ashley and Nicole are a dream team!

Don't trust the 5-star reviews. Dreams in Detail is sloppy and untrustworthy to the point of civil liability. My lawyer even suggested we sue when I realized a few days before our wedding that Ashley had shared ChatGPT'ed officiant guidance that was AI-hallucinated misinformation and thus meant we couldn't be legally married by our officiant at the ceremony. I had already been dissatisfied, frustrated, and furious from months of Ashley's messy work, but this was a new low.

Eventually we did sort out the officiant mess (no thanks to Ashley), and wedding day itself ran relatively smoothly (credit where credit is due, Ashley is a good day-of coordinator). So why not drop it there and go off to enjoy married life?

My main motivation in writing this review is that I do not want anyone else to have to endure the same stressful and infuriating experience that we had, planning what is meant to be such a joyful life event. From start to finish, working with Dreams in Detail was a nightmare.

The first big problem we ran into was that Dreams in Detail misrepresents their practice as serving Las Vegas. We only realized this belatedly when Ashley knew not a single Las Vegas vendor, insisting on showing us LA-based vendors at 3x the cost even before exorbitant travel fees, like $1000 for a makeup trial. I fought with her for months about getting a local makeup artist who had experience with Asian clients (peak ridiculousness was her offering me the Instagram of a Korean makeup influencer based in Korea who was also not a bridal makeup artist) before I gave up and booked a friend of one of my friends. Ashley also missed our wedding venue walkthrough, which we had flown into town for. She blamed a flight delay, but ultimately the problem was that she was not Vegas-based and not capable of arranging her travel to ensure she was present; then she forced us to leave our tasting dinner mid-way to rush through a quick meeting with her, because she was unwilling to change her return flight to LA. Even though we were paying her handsomely to be our "luxury" event planner, it did not feel at all like we were the client being taken care of. Instead, we had to accommodate her. The final disastrous consequence of Ashley's total lack of familiarity with Vegas was of course the issue with the officiant ordination. She didn't know the local laws but pretended she did by passing off ChatGPT garbage as expert guidance, and then we were left unable to get legally married on wedding day.

The biggest issue in hiring Ashley and DiD was that they were not local, but it was far from the only problem -- it was just the one that was hardest to make up for. Ironically given that the firm literally has "detail" in the name, Ashley is so NOT detail-oriented it makes me wonder about her choice to work as a wedding planner. In the final weeks leading up to the wedding, I was the one scrambling to ensure all details were considered and sorted -- redoing the schedule timeline and discovering key logistics gaps, procuring a vendor for supplies to handle an anomalous weather event, coordinating comms with the wedding party and all guests, and generally doing the job that Ashley was meant to do.

If your goal in hiring someone who bills herself a "luxury event planner" and charges $15k to plan a one-day event is to have a premium experience where you can sit back and rest easy that someone is taking care of the details, you will be grievously disappointed.

I had to change my review. Nicole and her team did a phenomenal job on my first event, but the second event was $58,000 over budget. In addition, she went to a vendor who was a personal friend of mine, lied to him that something was a "surprise" for me, and then left me with a bill for $15,000 for something I never requested or authorized payment for. We plan on suing her for her negligence.

We had the most amazing corporate event organized by Nicole. Every detail of the 4 days was 💯 spot on! Her staff was friendly and equally attentive to every aspect of the event. I cannot believe how much fun we had each night of our event. If you want to have a spectacular and memorable event I highly recommend you contact Nicole.

It's difficult to put into words how I feel about the corporate event planning service I received! From my first conversation with Nicole I knew she would be our planner. She was very different than the rest. Yeah, she had the references; proof of beautiful events and vendor insight, but what made her stand apart from our first conversation was that she had genuine desire to get to know our company's story for our 50th anniversary party. She was so charming. Discussing our history was like chatting with a good friend.

Once the planning was underway, I had complete trust in Nicole and her team. I knew she would steer us in the right direction through the many vendor selections and any creative hiccups.

To us it was about the details, we wanted our employees and clients to have a journey of experiences during our company's 50th anniversary. This meant a lot of outsourcing and coordination to manage all the logistics of the numerous vendors and execution. She helped assemble a power team of individuals that, like Nicole, had our best interest in mind and were committed to making our event even more memorable than we could have imagined.

My only regret is that this chapter in our lives is over and we'll no longer have weekly check-ins with Nicole. We will have to wait until next year's holiday party to see the Dreams in Detail team again.
