Small but full of engaging exhibit. Marc, the volunteer outside greeting and welcoming guests, was friendly & shared his knowledge of the area & the wildlife that live in it. We visited with our 2 kids on a Saturday afternoon and was able to see the live feeding at 3pm.

Addictionaly also there are the only one public bathrooms at the Alameda, everything clean and well done. I recommend it a visit there and also enjoy the beautiful view from the Robert W Crown Memorial State Beach.

We found this place while we were in Alameda because we need to use bathrooms badly. All the gas station don't let us the restroom eventhough we pay for the gas. So we google the public restroom in this town, and we found this gem. This is really beautiful cove. The center is nice and informative. The trails are really nice. I like how many big trees and so many beautiful flowers. I also love the picnic and large barbecue grills. There are so many geese though. Their poop are everywhere, especially in the nice yard.

Crab Cove is a large park looking out over the bay. Beautiful sweeping views of the bay area and some nice trails to walk along. There is a really nice visitor's center with some great displays, old photos, a video and a ton of local history. I had no idea there used to be an amusement park back in the day. There was a docent who was super-friendly and very informative. There are several picnic and barbecue areas with tables and barbecue pits. A few horse shoe pits also. There is a parking lot at each end of the park and currently bathrooms are closed due to covid. There was 1 port a potty in the parking lot next to the visitor center.

Unexpected treasure. Outside the visitor center we were able to learn about the birds crabs and sharks in the SF bay. Inside was one-way walking path due to Covid with a few small aquariums and one large aquarium. A lot of great information about the local sea creatures. We enjoyed the replica of the whale flipper bones.
