We stayed in this place a couple of times and liked it. Good location, large rooms, chatty owner. However, we will never stay there again after September 2021, when the rude owner (same person) sent me an insulting email, after I asked to fix a light in our room that didn’t work. If all is fine in your room, you may be lucky. If not, the owner’s response would be to say you something nasty followed by “If you are not happy, leave!”. There also was a musty smell in the room during that stay.

I was able to stay at the Doryman three times this year: 5 nights in May, August, and September. I have stayed here a number of times through the years, both solo and with my late wife, Pamela. I have never had a bad experience! Fresh coffee was ready by 8:00 AM each morning. [If you're a coffee person, that's important!!!] The Innkeeper, David, was always cheerful, and we always had interesting conversations. My room was simple, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. I am particularly interested in a good air conditioner and an adequate television. Although I have mentioned these items in the past, and have stated that the room is always clean and inviting, I have never mentioned why: the Housekeeping Staff is pretty much one person: Lwana; she is terrific. During the Covid restrictions of 3 years ago, I felt completely comfortable with her deep cleaning of the room, furniture, and bedding. Congratulations to Lwana! May she continue her excellent work for many years to come! I am looking forward to staying at the Doryman at least once, perhaps twice or three or more times, in 2024!

The owner is very nice, chatty. He needs more help, though. When we got to our room, we noticed the mildew smell right away. Everything in the space is old and dilapidated, the old A/C, super-loud. The floors were sandy/rough, the sheets old. Everything needs to be replaced. Bathroom is not fully cleanable anymore and needs full renov. If you need dependable wi-fi, you need to go somewhere else. Owner should not advertise "free wi-fi" as he uses a cheesy Tesla wi-fi system that does not cover the property. The place only had 1 cleaning lady for about 25 rooms so I'm guessing she had no time to wash floors. Only time to make the beds. ||At the end of Sea Street, there is a beach (5-min walk) and some high-end resorts overlooking the water. Anyway, that beach has a daytime snack bar, benches, and paid parking.||Regardless of our crappy room, we were not in it much, spending our time along Cape Cod coast, visiting all the beaches, sites and restaurants, north to south. After the end of each day, we were exhausted in a good way. It just sort of sucked to come back to a depressing environment. We survived. I would not stay there again, though.

Do not expect a ultra renovated, modern styled accommodation. This is 1970's Cape Cod at its finest! It is super clean, comfortable, friendly and a very short walk to Sea Street Beach. All new amenities including large flat screen, large fridge, A/C and super speedy WiFi. Lobby is a friendly place with ample information and coffee. Nice large vintage ice cream parlor and breakfast place down the road as well. Reasonably priced lodging.

We spent several nights at the Doryman this summer. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The pool was great and only a short walk to the beach. Plenty of excellent dining choices nearby. It's a great spot for a great vacation!

We had another great week with David and the team at Doryman, our favorite summer spot walking distance to ocean and Sundae School!

A return visit for my friend's and I saw us stay at The Doryman motel again. The owner, Dave Maslin, is the perfect host and we have been using his place to stay while we fished for Striped Bass all over The Cape, for many years.|It's a laid-back vibe and perfect for all our needs and Dave is always available for a chat or a coffee. |I suspect I'll be heading back next June for more Cape adventures?

Making 2023 reservations. This place is still the best deal in town. I've stayed here in the past and remember the kind couple who ran it a few years back. It is basic and very close to Sea Street Beach, maybe a 5 minute walk. They have A/C now and still that same huge pool. Prices are very reasonable.

Great value! We go early June, great prices, big rooms, very clean. An older motel but very pleasant. The owner. David is pleasant and helpful. Excellent location, can walk to beach. We stayed again in June 2021 and had a great stay. We had the kitchenette which was helpful!
