The parking lot next to the bridge is a great spot to get an expensive view of the lake.
I like to come up to , as I call it , the Summit parking lot , and watch full Moon rises.
In my youth this was a place to party and to use as a base when skateboarding down old Donner Summit road.
In the summer of 2024 traveling We spotted this camper hanging off the roadway. No one was injured.

If there is a life after death it should be exactly like on this beach! Very lovely and caring energy, clean, organized, they even gave a shop with some yummy snacks and beverages.
Highly recommended! I wish I live closer to go there at least once a week for entire life!

This is a beautiful bridge with gorgeous views all around. If you're in or around Truckee, definitely drive up here to check it out. Park at the lookout area for the best view.

Awesome views of Dinner Lake and the mountains near by. There are a few view points that are a simple climb and give you an exceptional view in 360 degrees. Definitely recommend here coming early in the morning to get ahead of the crowd.

This is an excellent long way to get over the summit. It is a great scenic drive and photo spot; there are historical facts on the bridge to read and a ton 9f history in the area. Beautiful views, I can't wait to check it out in the summertime.
