Such a great place. Smooth roads plus tougher trail options, but my 8 yr old did all option with no problem. Lots of photo ops and pet friendly. It does get VERY busy though

This is a nice visitor center for Dinosaur Ridge, with everything from jewelry and rare stones and gems to children's books and stuffed animals. The employee was very friendly and informative, and the bathroom outside was clean and had sanitizer. The dinosaurs are an added bonus for photos.

The name describes it all. Literally you want up the side of a mountain and dinosaur tracks, scrapes, and footprints are on the side of the mountain. You can start on the Redrock side of mountain or freeway side, but it will be an out and back trip...so if you have kids consider a wagon, stroller, or take the bus. It is a few miles round trip. It gets pretty windy there so, bring a jacket, and no real amenities so bring snacks and water. It is on the side of a mountain remember. Audio tour is pretty good, but download is annoying. Tracks are very impressive. Never seen so many all in one area like this. For something technically free, this is worth the visit if you like dinosaurs.

This is a small visitor center for the Dinosaur Ridge area and the fossil trackways therein. The little museum costs $4 per visitor and has several hands-on displays. There are several large models of stegosaurus and one of a hadrosaur and another of triceratops. The gift shop is chalk full of toys, books, and souvenirs to feed your kids' curiosity. It's definitely worth a look.

This was a fun walk from the visitor center to see a bunch of tracks from the time of the flood - very interesting that CO (+5k above current sea level) was underwater at one time. The full walk around the hill (and back) is just over 2 miles. There is a few hundred feet of elevation over the 2 miles, but it's easy. If you just want to see one of the main areas, it's just over a half mile. There is also a shuttle ($20) if you'd rather not walk. Definitely recommend stopping.

Such a great mini museum. They offer bus tours, but we hiked the park and enjoyed every moment. Everyone who works here is super kind. Excellent gift store. Picked up fossils for my middle school classroom.

We were staying in Denver for vacation and visiting
decided to drop by on Monday after Thanksgiving. We were visiting Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre and this place was nearby. We dropped by the Visitor Center and the representatives gave us options on what we can do. We did the self-guided audio tour that we can download for $8. We enjoyed the hike and stopping to see the fossils.
