This was great! We got a last minute booking. Beautiful location, stunning scenery(although that’s everywhere in Alaska!). We did a three hour guided kayak tour, was probably a bit less than that but still very good value. It was $99 each, which included the kayaks, wet weather gear, water and a loaner hat because I forgot mine. Our guide (Simon) was very nice, friendly and knowledgeable. Scenery was beautiful. Was a great day in the lake. Thoroughly enjoyed by all.

We had a wonderful time. The lake was gorgeous and our guide, Brian, was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. Additionally, gear was provided with absolutely no fuss for plus-size participants. This was one of my favorite activities we did in Alaska.

We had a guided tour of Byers Lake from Denali Southside River Guides and it was one of the highlights of our Alaska trip. Our guide Brian was knowledgeable, friendly, and a treasure trove of information not just about Denali but Alaska and its impact on the country and continent. The kayaking itself was easy as we had a calm weather day. We were able to see salmon run and take our time around the lake. This tour allows you to get up close and personal with the nature around you. The team outfits you to make sure you’re comfortable and dry, and everyone is very welcoming. You can tell they love what they do. Byers Lake is a true hidden gem, and this tour is a must do near Denali.

This was a great experience! Wanted to do something after National Park, but didnt want to pay an arm and a leg. Three of us (each our own kayak) were on the lake for 2 hours. The total for all three of us was $60.
Water was crystal clear and had a lot of fun.

And do yourself a favor. When you leave, turn left stop at the restaurant 15 minutes down the road on the right hand skde. And hope they have a slice of peanut butter pie left!
