6 of us enjoyed a beautiful afternoon sailing on the Ketch Windfall with Captain Raffi and First Mate Lisa. They treated us to a guided Tour of Historic Gloucester Harbor, and a full afternoon of open water sailing under full sail on their well equipped Sailboat. Raffi is extremely professional about his business of operating and maintaining their beautiful Ketch. He and Lisa have sailed that vessel for over 20 years, but you’d think it was new! They have logged enough miles to circumnavigate the earth three times! Be confident that they will treat you and your party to a safe and memorable experience whether it is your first sailboat trip or your 20th!

We did a seven day sail with Raffi and Lisa and it was the most incredible trip of my life. We felt safe and right at home onboard. Lisa made some of the best meals, we ante like kings and she even was kind enough to share some recipes with me! These two captains were the epitome of professionalism, their knowledge of the sea was evident from the start, even going as far as teaching us lingo and knots along the way. If you’re thinking of sailing with them, do it! You won’t find better captains out there!

Me, my wife and two children had the extreme pleasure of having a day on the water with Captain Raffi and Captain Lisa this past weekend.
We have done this a few times and with each time we board and set sea I am reminded of how amazing they are, their ship is and what a tremendous job they do!
Cruising around Gloucester seeing the sites, heading off on their dingy to an island or setting off up north to the Newburyport area it is so enjoyable.
Don't even get me started when the Captains work together and let down their sails!
This IS a Charter you want to take. As a couple, a family or a group. Don't wait.
I'm already looking towards the next ones.

Above and beyond the logistics of the day, it was so delightful how you played along with our 80th birthday surprise—right up to boarding your beautiful vessel for "eel bait." Hahaha! You certainly made the birthday girl's day, and each of ours along with hers. She's still talking about our adventure!

Thank you again for taking such great care of us and especially great care of an especially beloved woman. We will cherish the memory forever.

WOW! My husband and I spent the most amazing day with captains Raffi and Lisa with Defiance Sail Charters. So happy we went with the more personal experience of a smaller charter rather than a large group charter. We booked an afternoon charter with hors d’oeuvres and dinner. Lisa is not only a captain on the boat but an incredible chef. Everything was delicious! Raffi was so informative and has a great sense of humor.
After such an amazing experience, we have decided to book them for a long weekend in August. Thanks Raffi and Lisa for the wonderful sail!!!
