We thought we just needed a day of planner, but DeAnne helped us see the light! She provided us with the structure we desperately needed to make our day special, cohesive and intentional. DeAnne worked with our vision and the folks we had already hired, while bringing in the best of her contacts. Plus, Sarah was the most amazing, energetic and peppy day of coordinator. We booked DeAnne a year and half before our wedding. She was incredibly helpful throughout the wedding process. She took time to understand my vision, helped to execute it the day of, and even was there in times when I needed some emotional support. As the day got closer and things became more stressful, she was making sure things were getting done in the background like emailing and confirming with vendors, so that all I had to do at the wedding was show up. I wish we could give DeAnne more than 5 stars because she deserves that, and more! DeAnne made our wedding dreams come to life. We fell in love with her work. We interviewed other wedding planners but felt such a pull to work with her. She listened to us as we described our vision, but her ideas were the ones that made our day magical. We wanted to have nods to Harry Potter for our big day and DeAnne did this in the classiest of ways. We had floating candles above our dance floor, our table 9 was 9 ¾, and we had an incredible magician perform during our cocktail hour. These were all her ideas, and they were all truly magical! Everything was perfect and our guests are still talking about the big stuff and the little details of our wedding day. I said this to DeAnne a few times throughout our wedding planning process and I’ll say it here too: Our wedding would have been ugly without DeAnne.

She made our wedding day seamless, low stress and just simply beautiful. Our day was filled with sweet memories, a perfect ceremony, and an epic dance party! Dear September made my birthday dreams come true! With just under 3 weeks notice they transformed the park by my apartment into the sweetest fall picnic that was the perfect amount of comfort and joy as I rang in my 29th. EVERY guest that came commented on how beautiful the set up was. The attention to detail not only made me feel special but it made my guests feel special as well.

ALSO they thought of everything! They brought blankets for the guests if it got chilly, giant jenga to play while everyone caught up and ate, champagne flutes and also favors the guests could take home! Every single detail was taken care of with thought and consideration.

Will be using them for my next birthday and literally every other event in my life!

Outside of deciding to marry my wife, choosing Dear September Events (DSE) for our special day was one of the best decisions we have ever made! We worked directly with DeAnne and Sarah, who were so kind and patient. Despite our lack of specific direction, they took charge and delivered beyond our expectations.

DeAnne understood our vision, even when we ourselves were not entirely sure what that vision was. She did not even bat an eye when we u-turned and decided an international destination wedding was the dream. We leaned on DeAnne heavily throughout the planning process, and she seamlessly brought everything together. Even with vendors in another country, nothing slipped by her!

DeAnne was organized, understanding, and knowledgeable. She was always responsive and addressed any concerns we had, making the entire experience as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. She supported and advocated for us, even after the celebrations were over when some details needed to be resolved with a vendor. Working with her, it was clear that DeAnne has a real passion for her work and loves what she does!

Sarah was with us in person for day of coordination. She handled our group well and everything flowed flawlessly. We are sure there were many things going on behind the scenes that we are not even aware of, which allowed us to relax and fully immerse ourselves in the celebration knowing that she had everything handled.

It was the small details that made having DSE so special. DeAnne checked in with us the whole time we were abroad and sent the sweetest messages. Sarah helped manage our families, corral our wedding parties, and made sure we were taken care of. It was incredibly warm on our wedding day, and Sarah made sure we hydrated and hid us in the shade every chance she got. She was equipped with napkins and blotting sheets, which were definitely needed!

We wholeheartedly recommend DSE to anyone looking for a dedicated, talented, and passionate wedding planning team! You definitely want DeAnne and Sarah on your side for your wedding process. I stumbled upon Dear September in the midst of my wedding entertainment search, as they had worked with the band I had my eye on, and when I found out that they offered design and management packages - I knew I had to book them. Not only did it comfort me to know that they had worked with one of our vendors already, but having planned the majority of our wedding myself, I really just wanted a team to take over venue and vendor communications so that I could be stress-free in the final weeks leading up to the wedding. Well, the Dear September team did just that and more. From checking in to keep our to-do list on track, to meeting with our Officiant to review the ceremony timeline, and even attending our final walk-through at our venue - DeAnne went above and beyond in ensuring that every detail was covered and all of the moving parts came together seamlessly; her colleague, Sarah, was a huge help day-of in coordinating with the family/the Wedding party, and ended up even sewing a Bridesmaid's dress back together! Looking back at our wedding, we are so thankful to have had the Dear September team there to support us.
