The Dandelion Lodge is set in the most amazing of southern settings - on the banks of the Dog River, among those beautiful moss covered oaks that scream the “Deep South”. What is really unique is its history as a speakeasy from the twenties. Lovingly restored, it’s a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. I love sitting by the river just relaxing. Located not far from the city of Mobile, it offers the ability to make a quick trip there. I stayed at Mardi Gras time - so easy to get to the city to enjoy the festivities! Room for lots of people too!

This is such a special, beautiful place. The character and history of the lodge shine through, and the sunsets on the river can’t be beat. Easy to relax here, having coffee on the porch, napping by the huge fireplace hearth, playing croquet under the Spanish moss, listening to the owls, enjoying Dog River by boat. DanDeLion Lodge is one of our favorite places in the world.

Newly renovated while still maintaining its original grandeur, this charming lodge is an ideal place to unwind and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the Dog River. With plenty of comfortable living space both inside and out as well as beautifully appointed bedrooms, Dandelion Lodge is ideal for a large family or group gathering. Excellent customer service from owners and a great price too. I highly recommend and will definitely return!

Historically sensitive renovation of a classic property that dates to the days of the early 20th century, when Dog River was a rural escape from the city. Dandelion Lodge sits on the wide part of the river, beneath ancient, moss-draped oaks on an estate-sized, private lot. It's a rambling, comfortable house with lots of room for porch-sitting, book-reading and lounging. Bring the whole gang and bring the boat for family time on the river.

You won't find a more relaxing vacation home in Mobile than the Dandelion Lodge. 5 beautiful bedrooms, acres of majestic live oaks and a wharf to enjoy Dog River. Do your friends and family a favor and book this vacation rental for their next visit to Mobile.
