We stayed at the Crown Plaza for a volleyball tournament at the San Mateo Convention center. The location was perfect! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The pool was a major bonus for the kids as it was indoor, very clean and big enough for them to enjoy. I think my only "complaint" if you will was there was no fan in the bathroom. Other than that the experience was very pleasant even with the construction which did not effect our stay at all. I will be back!

Booked 2 night stay. Was told upon check in the club was available Saturday night. I asked if u could hear it from my room as I had early morning and was assured no. I was on 3rd floor room 330.
Room was good, sheets super soft. Keurig was good touch.
All went sideways when I was woken up at 8am by construction noise directly above me. By 830 it was so bad I got dressed and left. Sat night get to room at 11pm I hear the night club music. Im not sensitive to sound, but I felt like the club was down the hall. Room next to me had guests in room for after party. This lasted till 1am.
Saturday morning 8am sharp construction begins. It sounded like they were scraping the floor right above me. I looked out my window and see an contractor with scarf over his mouth, giggles on head get off on 4th floor and walk down my hall. So I know they were there.
I get the ai text that goes unmanned asking how my stay was. I reply and get no response.
Upon checkout I explain my stay and was told no construction happened above me. Mknd you the lobby is torpedo in plastic, my floor, 3 is tapped in plastic.... but okay Christina...I'm wrong. Maybe I'm just tired because ibsidnt get much sleep while staying at your hotel.
Christina did say she'd mention the music to the f&b manager but nothing came of that.
I get hotels need to rennovate, but let your guests know. Don't lie and say it didn't happen. That is what's most dusturbing.

The staff was professional and friendly. The room was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was delightful - a wide variety of choices and excellent coffee! I would stay here again and recommend it to family and friends.

My stay at the Crowne Plaza in Foster City was pleasant. My favorite part about the hotel is the breakfast! Very delicious and staff was was very friendly and attentive. Hotel is a bit on the pricey side, like $100 more from what I remember from my past times staying here. Beautiful bed in room but not so comfortable. Spending $250/night, I would have thought I would be more comfortable in the bed but I would definitely give this hotel another try. Hopefully, they’ll get better beds for the price.

I have excellent experience staying at Crown Plaza!
1. Great warm welcome from front desk
2. Comfortable room, nice firm bed.
3. We attended the Firefighter Holiday event, the service staff with big smile, the foods were hot and delicious.
4. After the dinner we reserved the VIP room at the hotel club, we ordered 3 bottles of Alcohol and large pizza to continue the party till midnight.
It was an excellent experience staying at the hotel for such wonderful hospitality! Will return for sure to host event and stay again at Crown Plaza.

The stay this time was not very present. I am a business traveller and need to get up early for meetings. Using the shower around 5am, there was no hot water and kept it running for 15 mins still no hot water out. The front desk was quite rude when I checked out with a mid-age lady. The facility was quite aged.

We stayed in the honeymoon suite at the Crowne Plaza Foster City as part of a wedding weekend, with multiple rooms booked for our guests. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in several ways.||The suite had only one robe—which seems like an oversight for a room intended for two—and there were no basic amenities like napkins. We requested a second robe, but it was never brought. The next morning, loud construction began before 8am, making it hard to get any rest.||The night before the wedding, during the reception, a security guard screamed at my fiancé on the dance floor—yelling “No drinks on the dance floor!” in front of everyone. It was abrupt, unnecessarily aggressive, and really dampened the mood. We ended up leaving early because of it.||Afterward, we reached out to the hotel to share our concerns and never got a response—no apology, no acknowledgment. For a hotel that markets itself as an event space, the lack of hospitality and professionalism was incredibly disappointing. Would not recommend for weddings or group stays.

This was by far my worst IHG experience ever. There were so many issues that made this a very disappointing stay when visiting for 4 nights with my daughter. We stayed in 2 different rooms as it was 2 separate bookings, so it was not just "bad luck" with the one room.

- Had to ask for my Diamond elite welcome amenity as it wasn't offered by the staff.

- First room was moldy and super humid. It had water running down the inside of the windows which were taped shut with duct tape. I had a severe headache every night we slept in that room.

- Fire alarm in the neighbouring room went on and off sporadically until 3AM one night and the following day.

- Other guests were extremely loud. Yelling and screaming and running in the hallway until 3AM.

- One day the whole floor smelled really bad of fire. The staff claimed it was from a defect microwave, but not sure that can stink up a whole floor.

- Construction work ongoing with air hammers all day for a couple of days. This was extremely loud and bothersome.

- The hotel is just really really worn out with carpets that are both dirty and full of holes from wear and tear.

There are so many other hotels available, so Crowne Plaza Foster City is definitely no longer a property I want to stay at again.
