After Tropical Storm Debbie hike. Choose the North side. Trails had no standing water. Very lush, vegetation is reclaiming the trails...to be expected with the amount of rain we've had. Bonus! Cycles and hikers have separate excellent trails. Bug juice is highly recommended.

My little slice of heaven, Ranger, and camp host absolutely wonderful. I am currently doing 2 weeks solo camping with the river rising , I have the ranger's email, and the camp hosts cell number with instructions to call anytime 24/7 if I need assistance, they sure know how to make a person feel cared for I

Croom Loop C is a 7 mile trail with lots of elevation gain and loss. There has been a recent prescribed burn so wide open vistas on a good portion of the trail. We saw a herd of 7 deer and heard lots of bird calls. The first portion of the trail is fairly tricky as it is a steep downhill trail with lots of roots for a trip hazards. A bonus is an unmarked side trail to the right at the beginning of the trail to an old family cemetery with a Confederate soldier buried there. It is about a tenth of a mile to the cemetery.

I went for the loop hike here and it was quite enjoyable. This area has some of the greatest inclines and declines in Florida going up and down the hills was real fun. The trail markings did a decent job but I wish their maps had color coding and more naming on the trails. The place also has a portion of the Withlacoochee state bike trail that is well paced and straight the whole way. All in all the place has a lot to offer for the outdoorsy type just except being able to find what you need by yourself

This is an excellent place for riding off-road dirt bikes and atvs only. It's 2600 acres of fun filled trails, with lots of sand and some old mine pits that have some technical hills. This is one of my favorite places to ride, and i have been riding in 14 states. There are a couple of beginner areas for kids. The campground has water with 30/50 amp. Also, bath house and a dump station. Dogs are Not Allowed. It's well managed with friendly rangers that have responded quickly to any issues. I have been coming to this place for over 50 years, and I always have a great time.

Nice little drive probably could make it in two wheel drive if you stay out of deep sand

There is so much to see on the hiking and biking trails through this area. I often take advantage of the nearby primitive camping sites. There are day use area bathrooms available at Tucker Hill Day Use Area. You will find plenty of parking and easy access to all the trails. Day use fees are only accepted through online payments at this time - there is a QR code at the main kiosk.

It is a beautiful, fun, outdoor place to ride dirt bikes, off road vehicles, Jeep, horses, bicycles… We took a Jeep and had a blast! Mud holes, and hill climbing were on our agenda! Check it out!
